There are two kinds of money you need to achieve Cafe World Domination - Cafe Coins and Cafe Cash. Do you know how to get enough of each?
When I first started playing this game, I was confused about the difference between Cafe Coins & Cafe Cash. That confusion hurt me at first, but thanks to Cafe World Domination, the excellent new game guide, I now understand the difference. Even more important, I know the best ways to get each kind of money. Would you like some tips on how to do this?
Coins
Cafe Coins are the kind of money you use every day. When you sell food, you earn coins. When you buy supplies, or decorations for your cafe, or most anything else, you spend coins. This means you need to earn and spend lots of coins.
Fortunately, coins are relatively easy to get. At first you'll probably find more stuff to buy than you have coins to spend. So early on, you'll need to be thrifty, and mostly spend coins on boring things like tables and stoves. These will help you earn more coins over time, but isn't too exciting while you're getting there. That said, if you manage your cafe well, you'll soon be pulling in more coins than you know what to do with.
Cash
Cafe Cash is a completely different thing. You earn cash very slowly, but can do pretty well without spending any cash early on. So you get the chance to accumulate cash.
Accumulating cash is very important, because later in the game, you'll find items or expansion packages that you really want, which you'll only be able to buy with cash. So how do you get more Cafe Cash?
Aside from the 1 unit of cash you get every time you go up one level, you can actually buy cash with real-world money. You're unlikely to need to buy coins this way, but many people supplement their supply of cash by clicking the Get Cafe Coins and Cash tab at the top of the screen and spending real money.
There's another way to earn cash. And it doesn't have to cost you any money. At the bottom of the Coins and Cash page, you'll find a bunch of surveys you can take. By completing these surveys, you'll earn cash which gets deposited in your game account within 24 hours or so.

QUESTION:
Would there be any local places that would exchange 70 Barack Obama 24K 1oz each gold coins for cash?
If not will it be accepted like within 3 months to exchange 70 24k 1oz each Barack gold coins? Also what does it mean that it's a novelty item?
-
ANSWER:
The only place that might purchase them from you is a coin dealer but you won't get the value that they are selling them for on tv.Novelty item means that they are not legal tender so you can not use them to purchase items.
EDIT: You might want to listen to the commercials more carefully or check the information if you have bought one. They are not solid gold but rather have a 24k overlay that has a very little gold content. The gold content of 70 coins wouldn't add up to a quarter oz total.

QUESTION:
where can I cash in my gold and silver dollars??
I have gold dollar coins, silver dollar coins, and half dollar coins...where can I cash these in at for cash??Can I do it at any bank or do they require you to have an account with them?-
ANSWER:
Never, NEVER take gold and silver coins to a bank. They are only obligated to pay you face value for the coins, which is 5 - 10 per cent of the value of the gold or silver. A coin shop will pay about 90% of the value of the gold or silver, and more if your coins have value as collectibles.
I repeat: selling them for face value at a bank is stupid.

QUESTION:
I've got a 1 oz gold coin i'd like to sell. What's the best way to sell it?
I've seen those cash for gold commercials but I know those are garbage, i've seen it done on ebay but i'm not sure about that. I want to find a secure way that will get my the biggest return. Anyone have any ideas?-
ANSWER:
you are absolutely right, there are a ton of scams out there today and it is really hard to tell who is legit and who is not. I've recently been seeing a lot about Empire Gold Buyers, so I decided to try them out and look into their company quite a bit. From what I have seen and personally experienced, they are a great company. They've been around for decades, unlike cash for gold that will certainly go under any time now. Anyway, best thing is to be proactive and know what your gold is worth and what you should get for it. Know what you are talking about when selling and it will be much harder to scam you. good luck

can you explain which coin this is? from which country? who made it /
and which bank certifies it?I have not come across the term "bank certified" in relation to coins as that is not the business of banks anymore. the gold standard has been removed.

Is the coin from an accepted /recognised country/mint. Is it genuine?
If the coin is not from a recognised Mint or Bullion company you might have to get the coin? assayed.
Also what size is the coin? if it is an ounce then it would be worthwhile doing a bit of traveling.
but if it is a 1/10 ounce it would not be worth the effort to travel from dealer to dealerSo without any further information it is not possible to answer fully your question .

QUESTION:
Has anyone ever thought of this before to make money from buying gold like this way?
Has anyone here every thought of it this way.You would spend ,000 on 2 pure gold coins each being one ounce. Then when you have it mailed it to you the gold coins you mail it to a place where they would cash the gold for you and you would end up ,382.
Next with that money ,382 you would multiply by 2 and you would get ,764 and make an offer to buy 3 gold coins, in which with 3 gold coins you would get ,073.Again multiply by 2 and you would get ,146 and make an offer to buy 4 gold coins, then get cashed ,764.
Next multiply by 2 and you would get ,528 so you would make an offer to buy 5 gold coins and get ,455 after having it cashed.Again with the same step multiply ,455 by 2 and you would get ,910 so you would buy 7 gold coins and get ,837.
,837 being multiplied by 2 you would get ,674 and make an offer to buy 10 gold coins in which when after mailing those 10 gold coins you would get ,910 times that by 2 and it would be ,820.So there for you spend those ,910 on 14 gold coins and get cashed ,647.
Continue doing this process until you've reached at least 0,000 worth of gold.
Can anyone see what I'm tyring to eplain and get the picture?
If so would anyone of you do this?
& is it legal or would be perfectly fine with the person who sells gold coins?-
ANSWER:
What you're proposing is buy low sell high. It's a great idea, the only problem is that you would be hard pressed to find a seller willing to sell you gold for 0/oz.If you know of a place to buy two ounces of gold for 00 (or for ,382 for that matter) please let me know.
As of 3:09 p.m. on the NY market, spot gold prices were around 4/oz.
I hope that helps.

QUESTION:
How do I buy and collect coins?
I want to start to collect coins, but not sure how to determine the best price I should pay for them. I've seen price lists, but are those actually what people are paying for coins? What do those cash for gold places pay you for coins? Does anyone know how they tell what something is worth? My friend said he sold some at a place, but wasn't sure how much he should have gotten. So I was thinking I wish I had bought them from him.-
ANSWER:
One takes a chance of really being taken if they deal with the cash for gold people as well as antique dealers and pawn shops. They usually do not know the coin market and since they are not really coin dealers that depend on a reputation are often shady. That is not true to all but there are more bad ones than good ones. Most coin dealers use what is called the Gray Sheet which is actually the Coin Dealers Newsletter to keep up with values. It has the buy and bid prices of US coins. It come out in sections weekly. Dealers usually use it as a sell guide and add to it for hot coins of the day as well as coins that are really nice for the grade. As you can see it is a complex thing and that is why one can get a good buy and dealers have different prices. If you think of making a lot of money forget it, if you want it as a hobby and a challenge then you may do well. The key is to learn about the series you what to collect and in the end know more about it than the dealers. The main thing you need to know is buy the book before the coin and learn how to grade coins. It takes work on the part of the coin collector to put a nice collection together and to learn to love the history of coins. Good Luck

QUESTION:
What do you think about these stock picks?
I'm going to invest 15,000. Half would go to gold coins. The other half would go to stocks like Apple, Google, Coke, CAT, AEP (It's a utility stock).I want to keep these stocks for thirty years but cash the gold within 10 years. I'd like medium risk, I can take the risk because the money isn't really needed.
What do you think? Any particular news that I should know?
-
ANSWER:
I think you should consider ETFs or mutual funds. Because it is difficult to have a diversified portfolio starting with ,000 i.e,. 5 holdings is not a diversified portfolio, your stock picks are good stocks but, just think about it Google (GOOG) is selling at 6 a share so you can buy less 10-15 shares, APPL is at 5 so ditto. If you buy into ETFs or Mutual funds you can get a diversified portfolio with just one buy e.g., total stock market ETF from Vanuard, Schwab, ishares etc. In my opinion you need to have at least ,000 in order to be able to purchase enough stocks to have a well diversified portfolio of 15-20 positions. Also, the days of buy and hold for 10 years is over.

QUESTION:
Which 1oz. gold coin has world-wide cash value?
More specifically, if the American dollar is not recognize as the "World Currency" anymore.
Which 1oz. gold coin would be accepted as cash value world-wide? Foreign gold such as the
Krugerrands or something else? I'm not expecting the American dollar to decline anytime
soon BUT with the Govt. fiscal policies along with the predictions of some states and cities going
bankrupt in the coming year or years I would like to know which gold coin is recognize world-wide
for it easy cash value exchange.-
ANSWER:
Krugerrands and other government issued pure gold coins are interchangeable pretty much anywhere through coin dealers. Banks generally do NOT honor gold coins as currency. What makes coins a good thing to hold is they are certified purity and quantity. Coins are extremely difficult to fake because they are "struck" by squeezing the coin blank into a mold to form the surface effects. This gives the metal a very unique property, "ringing". Coins "ring" when you bounce them off a hard surface like a table top. There are some coins which do not ring because of the base metal used in making the coin, the American penny, for example, since 1982, is copper plated zinc. Zinc is too soft a metal to ring like a quarter will. Only hard alloys will ring when struck into coins. Pennies before 1982 were a copper-nickel alloy which DID ring. Anyway, beware of "collector" gold coins. In the fine print it is revealed they are only PLATED with pure gold, not MADE of pure gold! Just remember, most real gold coins are NOT honored as currency, but collectors items traded by dealers in coins.

QUESTION:
Are old gold coins worth anything?
My boyfriend has a friend who gave him some old coins from the 1870's through 1908, five through twenty dollar gold coins are they worth anything? or what does someone suggest he does, we are trying to get the most cash for them, they have only been sitting in a box. And are wheat pennies worth keeping?-
ANSWER:
The gold coins are worth at least their gold value. gold coins have just under an ounce of gold (at today's price, figure about 00), while gold coins have about 1/4 that amount. Depending on the date, mintmark, and condition, they could be worth much more, but someone like a coin dealer would need to take a look at them to tell you.As for the wheat cents, they're worth at least three cents each for the copper in them. As a rule, anything from about the mid 40's on is only going to be worth the copper value if the coin has any wear on it at all.

QUESTION:
Is it remotely possible that people think when they buy TV commemorative coins they are getting real money?
I see people asking if they can trade the TV commercial "commemorative" 1877 Gold Coin for cash!!!! The thing only costs .95 and then they give you another coin, a silver dollar. That silver dollar even says on the back it is pure silver "clad". The commercial clearly says the coins are both "clad". If someone is thinking they are going to buy for .95 then God help us. Clad means plated, as in covered in gold or silver, or to make it easier gold plated and silver plated. They are probably copper that is plated with the other metals. They are not meant to be confused with being real money and I'm betting they aren't selling them with the hopes that thousands of people will even remotely believe they are getting for ! Then I see all of the "coin experts" coming in with their brilliant lessons about the value of these coins if they were genuine. If you listen to the commercial it says there were only 2 of these coins ever struck (made at the US Mint) and they are both in the Smithsonian. So these brilliant coin experts telling the other geniuses who are thinking that they might be able to scam someone into buying the fake coins for what they would be worth if they were real - 00-2300 - are insane!!! The actual 2 coins sold for ,000 each in 1909 before the government got them back. Right now they would be worth multi-millions each if they were ever taken out of the Smithsonian Institution, the museum of the United States of America in Washington D.C. - one of the most heavily secured buildings in the country.Bottom line. If you watch a commercial selling coins for less than face value, please be smart enough to realize they are NOT real and you can NOT get more money than you paid for them unless you find someone else who is even more easily fooled than you are. That was as polite as I could say that. Gold is worth 26 per ounce as of today. The fake coin is said to weigh 2 1/2 ounces. Did you really think you were buying 65 worth of gold for .95!!!??? Silver is worth .63 per ounce today. So, if you are foolish enough to believe that you were going to be getting over 00 worth of precious metal for a 20 dollar bill then you almost deserve to get screwed. You could definitely find someone out there at a burger joint who will believe the coin is real and they will even make change for you, but hen you can pretty much count on getting arrested after they pull your picture off of the video camera. Please have enough intelligence to understand that you shouldn't do it. Fake money is just fake money. Leave it in the pretty blue box and enjoy it's beauty. Next time you see a commercial selling money - IT"S FAKE! Don't buy it.

The Gold Buffalo Coin is the purest gold coin ever made by the U.S. government. It’s the first U.S. coin ever struck using .9999 Pure 24 KT Gold. Where can I get the actual value for my gold coins?
I have a 1 oz golden eagle coin that i got as a graduation gift a few years ago. College hasn't been good to me financially and i need cash fast. How can I get what the coin is actually worth? i dont see any other way that you would get what the coin is worth. if you try to sell it to a dealer, they wont give you full cost because they have to make some money off of you at the same time. your best bet might be to find a respectable coin dealer in your area, or try to sell it on ebay and just set the reserve price high

QUESTION:
cash for gold cleveland?
I heard the best place to sell gold in cleveland ohio area is Jewelrycoinexchange.net
Jewelry & Coin Exchange Middleburg Hts
440-239-1824They pay the most I was told. Is this true?
-
ANSWER:
Never sell to the first offer you get. You need to compare deals, and you should get several estimates. And yes, as the previous answer said, if your jewelry is above average quality, try to sell it as jewelry rather than as scrap gold. Jewelers that deal with antique and estate jewelry are the ones most likely to be interest in quality jewelry. C. M. Stephanoff is one such place, but there are probably others.C. M. Stephanoff
850 Euclid Avenue, Suite 317
Cleveland, Ohio 44114
216-861-1005
http://www.cmstephanoff.com/At least, you should get an estimate from them before you sell your gold as scrap.
You might also try to sell it privately. If you have a piece that would sell at retail for 00, a scrap gold dealer might give you 0. An antique jewelry dealer might offer, say 0-0, depending on quality, but a private sale could yield 0 or more. Of course, it is a lot more work to advertise and sell on your own.
Good luck.

Short of hiding it under the mattress or burying it in the backyard, what is a good way to stash some cash? Thinking about a safe deposit box, but cash just sitting there isn't gaining any value. What about savings bonds, jewelry, or gold coins? I want something that can be liquidated by someone other than me.Thanks for your suggestions!
-
ANSWER:
it seems like you are more interested in real investment and not so much in just stashing. i suppose the simplest way to stash cash and still have it make you some money is a savings account. look for a bank that offers the highest rate (might be that ING bank) and stash your loot there. you can do CDs and the bond thing as you've mentioned.but if you want a faster pace, more risk option, get a financial advisor to help you plan some investment in the stock market. you can play it safe or ride in the high risk, high payoff lane.
as far as buying jewelry, realize that you are paying for work done and not so much the precious metal itself. so if you think jewelry, go name brand, high end. look for jewelers who might be near old age. the stuff is worth more after the original maker has passed. it's morbid but honest. anyway, just buy raw gold bars and cut diamonds. these items appreciate directly with inflation plus other market variables.
go with the safe deposit box and raw gold bars and cut diamonds. it seems best

QUESTION:
Should I cash in my IRA?
I have about ,000 in my IRA which I took out of stocks right before they started going down. We also have some gold coins that we can sell. We owe my husband's brother ,000, and a credit card with 10% interest, about 10,000. We also have otehr expenses coming up such as our property taxes and the kids classes, etc. My husband is working extra all the time, and I am just setting up my business in a new area (so my income is just paying for my office rent). Should we sell some of the gold or should we cash in my IRA which has made over ,000 just in the past 4 years (lots of international stocks)? My husband has a great job with great pension and retirement and we have a few rental properties that pay for themselves. We have other investments for our kids but we are short of cash right now and under a lot of pressure. Any advice?
Thank you guys. This shows me that I should never listen to my husband who is asking me to sell my IRA. It also shows that we are in this situation because of his mismanagement of our finances.-
ANSWER:

QUESTION:
FARMVILLE: How do you earn farm cash?
Without paying for it by credit card I mean. And I don't mean the gold coins, I mean the green notes.-
ANSWER:
No, you DO NOT have to buy it with pay pal or other credit cards. You also DO NOT have to complete those ridiculous free offers (which often aren't and clutter up your email AND your computer - even worse). You can earn it, but so far, I haven't found the answer to their formula. I have earned in the paper money, or more, which I spent when I expanded my farm, and bought vehicles. I have earned lots of coins and experience/master points just through harvesting crops, trees, and collecting from animals, as well as helping freinds/neighbors. But I still don't know how they award the paper money. I have never completed any of their offers or "bought" the money. I recommend you do NOT do that. I thought it might be tied in to a certain level of coins, but haven't seen a pattern so far. But they really DO give you the cash as well as the coins.. I have expanded twice, and gotten a tractor and a harvester.OK, I looked up some stuff since I answered this - it is tied to your experience points, and the ribbons you earn. Here is a really good source for info, which also links to some other great information: http://www.bukisa.com/articles/149271_farmville-cheats-and-tricks-that-work

QUESTION:
What is gold backed by?
Why do people value gold? Is gold backed by something of value? It's not any use to me. If I had a bag of gold coins I certainly couldn't spend it at any store I've ever been to. Can't spend it online at Amazon. I have no idea how to sell gold for a decent price without getting ripped off, but with a lot of effort I suppose I could sell gold for money, which is REAL valuable to me.Does that mean gold is backed by money? Is there some vault somewhere that's stuffed with cold hard cash to back up the gold in the world?
-
ANSWER:
Gold is only worth what people think it is just like everything else, However there are a lot of people that think it is valuable, the supply is limited and it is easy to store, so every time the there is uncertainty in the world the price gos up, and then falls when things get better. It is ironic that the people who value it, do so because they think it is safe when it is actually one of the most risky investments because it is very volatile.

QUESTION:
i won 10k? from dodge?
ok its dodge's 70th anniversary and like a local dealer or something is having really good Business and dodge authorized like a sale or something so i get a letter in the mail saying that cars are employee prices for a while and there is a scratch box in the corner saying scratch so if you won and the numbers matched and i get a choice of a 2011 dodge caliber a 3day vacation 10k cash or 5 gold coins. what i am asking is is this legit like is this really im kinda REALLY excited but i don't want to get my hopes up too high so yeah. im going to call tomorrow and see if its real but i want to hear another persons opinion first. please help-
ANSWER:
I would be really suspicious of anything like this from a car dealer. Be prepared for any of the following:- "Fine print" that says you only "win" if you trade in your current car
- Some other kind of catch that requires that you somehow pay for what you "won"
- Having to actually enter another contest to really get a chance to win
- High pressure sales tactics to try to convince you to buy a car even though you didn't win anythingIf you are the kind of person who can be easily talked into buying stuff you don't need, then stay away, or bring a friend with you who can keep a level head.
Finally, no matter what, if it comes to the point where for some reason you are about to buy a car from them, tell them you need a day to think it over. DO NOT sign anything! Of course they'll tell you that the price is only good for today, or that someone else will buy the car, etc. Ignore that B.S. and get out.

QUESTION:
Will gold Sacajawea coins be worth something in the future?
I'm short on cash and I just remembered I have a bunch of those coins. My grandpa gave me a few of them each time I lost a tooth. So I have like 17, I had more but I don't know where they went. I've had them for years and never even thought about spending them. But I think I remember my grandpa telling me they'd be worth more if I waited. But they are only worth a dollar now, and they are all from year 2000. How long will i take for them to become more valuable and when they do how much will they be worth then? If its gonna take like years for the value to go up only like 15 cents I don't think it's worth holding on to them for so long. Do you think i should save them or spend them?-
ANSWER:
There is absolutely ZERO gold in these gold looking coins.Composite:
Copper with manganese brass cladding:
88.5% Cu
6% Zn
3.5% Mn
2% Ni
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sacagawea_dollarNobody wants these Sacagawea dollar coins.
The only place you will probably see them are casinos, car washes and laundry machines.
If you can get hold of some silver clad Eisenhower Dollars, those coins I would keep.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eisenhower_DollarCurrently about 1 troy oz of 99.9% pure gold (24kt) is about ,200

QUESTION:
2005 gold nickel?
I found a 2005 gold nickel today in the cash drawer at work. I switched it out for a nickel of my own. Anyways, what is the value of this gold coin???-
ANSWER:
Your coin is either gold plated or, more likely, toned. No way to know with out pictures/more information. So...1 - Take your coin to a local coin dealer (trustworthy ones can be found - shop around). It never hurts to get a second opinion. They will be able to tell you so much more by evaluation the condition of the coins. They will also know the amount minted and what it is going for in today's market.
2 - Try posting pictures on this website (there are many experts here that can help you evaluate it - there also may be people willing to buy if you are trying to sell):
http://www.coincommunity.com/forum/default.asp3 - Repost this question and include pictures. You can use websites like http://www.photobucket.com and include the link in your question.
Good luck!
P.S. You should not clean your coins. Most coin collectors see cleaning a coin as the equivalent of stripping down antique furniture and refinishing it.
When cleaning, the surface metal of the coin is often stripped. Anything used to scrub the coin will leave scratches (even 100% pure silk will leave hairline scratches). Most cleaning products will have some type of reaction with the coin's metal and the surface metal can also be removed in this manner.
Your best bet is to leave the coins alone. Cleaning the coin will leave traces - which can be found by the knowledgeable collector - who in turn will not buy the cleaned coin. Also if you ever wanted to send your coin into a grading company, they can recognize signs of cleaning and will send your coin back in a "cleaned" slab (also called a "body bag" in the coin world) - which is usually a greatly decreased value.
If you absolutely must must must clean your coins do not use the method described above as it will react with the metal in your coin. Use 100% acetone (do not use fingernail polish remover!). It must be 100% pure because other additives will react with the coin metal. Place your coin(s) in the solution for several minutes (do not leave in for long periods of time). Rinse your coin(s) in distilled water. Next remove your coins and either pat dry with a soft cloth or allow the coin to air dry (air drying is better as you don't risk scratching the coin with the cloth). NEVER scrub your coins!
I would still advise you to leave your coins as they are. They may not be bright and shiny but that is what most collectors prefer.

QUESTION:
What is the value of a gold coin?
Just wondering...and also should i cash them in now or save them for later?
Also, If i want to trade it in, where are some good places to do so?-
ANSWER:
With the recent runup in the price of gold, probably 0 or more. If the coin is in particularly fine condition, it could be worth a lot more; only a good numismatist would be able to tell for sure. I won't guess on the future price of gold, but collector's items tend to do well over the long term.
