     Never buy gold! It's totally not worth it! The best way to make gold is to become a miner/skinner. Once you level up to iron/silver/gold, which is about 175 level, you'll be set....Just circulate the Arathi Highlands and mine....I made 1000 gold for my dual spec in a week, selling the ore on the AH....And that was only playing for a couple hours each day...

     That's also probably why my account has never been hacked....Just plain common sense.

     I would not waste my money on the gold guide. The easiest way to make gold in WOW is utilize the AH so every mat you pick up that you don't need once you get a full slot sell it on the AH. Same goes for any gear that is not bind on pick up that you don't want. You can make a lot more money on the AH than selling to a regular vendor. You can also make pretty good money doing the daily quests.

      I've had the best luck by just killing it in the Auction House and finding "deals".

      For instance, allakhazam and thottbot both have decent price suggestions on what stuff sells for on average. Go to AH and figure out whats ending soon. If it looks like you can re-sell it for a profit, give it a shot.

      I personally try and find Blues and Purples only...but try not to waste your money...if Allakhazam says you should be able to get 10g for it and you buy it for like 8g....you're probably going to have trouble selling it for 10g just like the guy before you.

      It's also helpful to look and see what's new...sometimes people sell stuff for FAR less than it's worth just as a means of getting rid of it, or just plain ignorance.

      This isn't exactly a get rich quick scheme....it'll take you a couple of days or maybe even weeks to get a respectable bank account going, and of course you have to start out with at least enough gold to play with.

      It's kinda like the stock market...buy low, sell high.

      Your first flying mount? The one you can get at 70? I wouldn't buy it, at least not just yet. There are 2 reasons for that:

      1) You won't be able to use it in Northrend until level 77 so it's pointless to worry about scratching up the cash now.

      2) Depending on how fast you level to 77, they may end up being cheaper. Word is they're deeply discounting some of the mount training stuff in the next major patch.

      Basically you can't use it now anyway and it will liekly be cheaper in a few weeks.

      Also note that gold in Northrend pretty much grows on trees. Between 68 and 72 I made enough gold to dual spec (costs 1000g and I think I went into NR at 68 with like 72 of that). Keep in mind that all of that money? That was all from dropped trash items and quest money. I sent all my dropped greens to my enchanter to disenchant and sent all my ore and skins to my bank alt to sell (and I never sent the profits back to that character). There's tons of gold to be made in the game.

      One note - the think isn't how to make gold most of the time. Usually it's "how not to spend gold". If you have a crafting profession, don't spend money on mats at the AH, farm it yourself. Don't be buying gear off the AH between 60 and 68, you're going to replace it in like the first 4 quests in Northrend anyway so that's just wasted gold (and it's going to take you like 30 seconds to go through those levels with the quest gear and stuff). Basically be smart about the stuff you buy/enchant/gem/etc.

    I've designed my own little gold guide for WoW, it was initially just a reply to someone's question, but i thought i may as well share it here with all you people. Please star if you think this is a good little guide. I hope this helps anyone who needs help making gold.

    Okay, this is a big question that everyone wants to know. And i've found the best way to get money is to pick up mining/herb and skinning.

    So, get yourself either mining or herbalism. These professions are great! As your playing you will find plants/nodes to pick/mine or you can go on a big hunt for them over the course of a day. Sell all the herbs you pick/ore you mine and smelt on the auction house... A tip for selling, check what everyone else is selling the same thing for and sell for a little bit less than the lowest one.

    e.g. > Here's a example list of people selling saronite
    1 > 20 for 50g
    2 > 20 for 50g
    3 > 20 for 45g
    4 > 20 for 47g
    5 > 20 for 44g

    You would want to sell a stack of 20 for 40-43g, this way you know it's going to sell, and your still getting nearly just as much money as everyone else. If you put your stuff on the auction house at top dollar, everyone's going to buy other people's stuff instead of yours. So keep your prices low, but not too low!

    With mining, always sell your stuff as bars (smelt from ore) as they will sell a lot better, the only people that buy ore are miners that can't be bothered going out and mining the stuff and they want to level from smelting instead, and not many people do that. Besides, bars are more useful to more people.

    Also pick up skinning as your second profession. The reason being is sure Herb and mining are the 2 best money making profs in the game, however, you can only track one at a time. If you get mining/skinning or herb/skinning then you can kill things, loot them (potentially get greens/blues from them and sell more stuff) and skin them. You will still be getting money, but a lot easier.

    Another way to get gold in WoW is buying and reselling things on the Auction House. Doing things such as buying blue/epic items that people are selling way too low, and resell them for a more normal price. I've made hundreds of gold this way!

    If you really want to make some dough, just look on the auction house and find the things that people are selling for the most gold. Track them down with thottbot.com and go and farm for those things, then resell them on the auction house.

    Another good way (if your level 80) is to do daily quests, they give you around 20g a quest and you can do up to 25 in a day. If you do all of them, then 25x20=500g. You could make 500g a day from doing simple and easy daily quests.

      1. Run Heroics, once you get the few decent badge gear you need, use the other heroic badges to buy Frozen Orbs and sell them on AH
      2. I really suggest lvling ure cooking, the cooking daily in Dalaran usually is about 50g per daily (Northern Spices is your quest reward and it costs alot)
      3. Hope your not on PvP realm, level up ure fishing by first going to Barrens (Stagnant Oasis) and fishing up Deviate Fish also you can lvl up ure cooking by cooking them. Then sell the Savory Deviate Delights on the AH
      4. Farm Eternal Fires from wintergrasp (may sometimes be a dangerous task), but armor durability does not die during pvp. You can see a 25k health fire guy (that drops like 3 fires) when your faction is controlling wintergrasp. There are also little fire guys in the molten section on the south east corner of the region.

      do not buy gold guides, theyre awful, and you can find all the info easily online.

    Also I've been asked to shop opposite Delmon Hotel and look for Gold with govt stamp on it.... Obviously Delmon Hotel must be outside the airport.

    Is it possible to get a quick transit visa and go out to buy gold? If yes, then can some one please guide me through this?

      There is a gold souk near Delmon Hotel which has most of the gold retail shops. It is outside the airport and you would have to exit the airport and would need a visa. By your name, i can make out that you are most probably an Indian and in that case you cannot get a visa on arrival. Only if you are from one of 33 countries eligible to get visa on arrival or are a GCC resident of any nationality provided you are working as a manager then you would get a visa on arrival here. There is no concept of transit visa here.

      If you have a good group, then here are good areas to farm for large amounts of gold. The Dire Maul Tribute and a place called Stratholme. Stratholme is great to run through for not only gold, but to get disenchanted items here as well. Which leads into the next spot.

      If you have the ability to disenchant items, then you should go to Uldamann. If you can successfully kill Glagann Firehammer, you can acquire some great items to disenchant, and sell for nice amounts of gold.

      With these spots and tips you should have enough to go ahead an start making gold. They won't make your character rich overnight, but they will give you a lot of gold in a very short time and they're pretty easy to follow, even for a beginner.

      play the AH, buy cheap things sell it higher. you might have to monitor prices for a little bit to get the feel of a few items. check AH prices for stacks of items you get off mobs ex: cloth, meat, etc and see if they'll sell decently, then go farm them. choose mining as a profession. do your dailies and old low lvl quests (if ur 80, cuz you wont get xp for them anymore just gold)

      To get the most value out of gold it must be assayed. That is checked for purity. Second hand gold has very little value otherwise compared to the professionally assayed stuff.
      Also the professional stuff is only sold in large bars.
      The gold in most jewelery isn't very pure I'm afraid.
