Selling Antique Jewelry

Customer's's satisfaction is a great compliment to your home made jewelry business as well as you as an artist. Most purchasers buy a particular jewelry item depending on their mood. And because you are the seller, you've got the responsibility to know what jewelry matches the mood of your clients, ask what their purpose is, and do a quick research of what type of person they're so you can suggest the perfect jewelry designs for them. Doing jewelry making ; teenage jewelry designs, valuable gems, home made glass beads and all of the other kinds of creations that you are good at is only half the art.

The mistake that plenty of home jewelers make isn't asking the question , is good customer service important? Good customer service is not just providing jewelry on time as per the order, but being able to offer pieces of jewelry by reading a buyer will go a great distance in making sure that they come back to your store or booth. You have to be careful in advising a piece of jewelry simply for the sake of making a return.

It that buyer goes home and then decides that it was not a good purchase and they do not like the item anymore, chances are that they won't come back to you. You've got to ensure that the piece of jewelry suits them and will look so good on them that many people will comment and let them feel OK about wearing your designs. Information is an advantage for your business, not just a knowledge of the simplest way to make jewelry, but also a knowledge of what pieces suite individual folks.

If your purchaser is an informal sort of person, suggest a light gemstone jewelry or custom gemstone beaded jewelry. Be sure to have a collection of this beautiful gemstone beaded jewelry in different colors and designs to match the wardrobe of your customer. Diamond studded earrings or diamond hoops can add a glint look to your shopper, and she can wear these on all occasions or everyday with every dress that she favors. This type of jewelry can spice up an informal personality.

You can also suggest diamond jewelry or hand crafted cheap pearl jewelry to those consumers who like to wear tiptop dresses. Your customer will look brilliantly attractive with the spectacular shine of diamond jewelry.

If your buyer wants to look good with sparkling silver jewelry, of course suggest your fashion sterling silver jewelry items. This type of jewelry can go well with every kind of dresses, and this is in truth the favorite choice from traditional times.

If your customer will be attending evening functions and parties, you need to suggest some crowd pleasing jewelry that will magnify her beauty. You can present delightful titanium amethyst jewelry, glitter gold jewelry, antique silver jewelry, black or white diamond jewelry, platinum jewelry, or sparkling gemstones. These sorts of jewelries can zest the inner pride of your purchaser while wearing this splendidly designed jewelry.

  5. QUESTION:
Has anyone had experience with selling estate or antique jewelry to online buyers, & who are the better ones?

    • ANSWER:
Auction, Auction, Auction....online can be tricky. the best thing to do is get an appraisal so you can set an estimate. I have a friend who sells cars on E-bay and is very successful. you can set a minimum with ebay so that you won't ever get under what you paid or what you may have been told it is worth. and get several appraisals, some people may try to tell you it is worth less to get you to sell it to them. Auctions usually have the people there that are in the market for what you are selling and may know it's worth, so they will outbid eachother to get things, especially antiques.

If you have to sell the property(s) then just know what the going rate is in the neighborhood and what the cost is of what's been added or restored, if any, know the history of the property if it is older. My best advice though is if you don't have to sell then rent, you will get a tax break for it and monthly income to boot. just be wise about who you let out to!

  6. QUESTION:
What are some good alternatives to selling on eBay?
Ebay's new policy changes have resulted in a huge drop in sales - the biggest I've seen in my 10 years of selling on there. Many sellers speak of selling on other sites, but the few that I can find seem to not be worth the time.
What are these sites? Does anyone else sell online?
    I sell antique jewelry...

    • ANSWER:
Sales may be down but it could very well be due, in great part, to the economy. This may be especially true if you are selling high-end jewelry. Regardless, people who have been affected by the economy will forgo jewelry to buy necessities.

However, before you jump ship, consider your potential market. How many members does the new auction site have compared to tens of millions of members at ebay? You may be saving money on fees or paying no fees at all but any new auction site will have a small fraction of the members that ebay has. You may sell an item for at another auction site with far, fewer members that would likely sell for substantially more at ebay with its much, much greater membership. This is a classic example of “stepping over a dollar to pick up a penny.”

These smaller auction sites are good for buyers for the same reason that they are bad for sellers:

fewer bidders = less competition = lower closing prices.

These bidders/buyers are smart and have been taking advantage of those sellers who have left ebay.

Ebay is the largest auction site on the web with the most members. There isn’t another auction site that is remotely close, and I do mean remotely close, to having the number of members that ebay has.

Regardless of the fees, I suggest you stick with ebay:

The most members = maximum competition -= higher closing prices

There isn’t another auction site on the web that can hold a candle to ebay and the millions and millions of members it has. Many have tried and many have failed and yet, many are still trying. Ebay has a virtual lock on this business. This is where you want to sell as ebay has the largest potential market. A basic business tenet is ‘The greater the potential market, the greater the potential for maximum profits.’ My advice: Don’t be penny wise and pound-foolish. But the final choice is yours.

      Tips to maximize profits:

Do not limit your auctions to one country. SELL WORLDWIDE. The reason is simple. You now have access to the largest market ebay has to offer. Limiting your auctions to only one country also limits your potential market. To maximize profits, sell worldwide. But do say that PayPal is the only form of payment you will accept from overseas bidders

Do not limit your payment options – Offer all of them. Sellers who offer only PayPal or only money orders or money orders and checks are further limiting their potential market and reducing their potential to maximize profits. Some people will not bid on items that do not have PayPal as an option. Then you have a smaller percentage who refuse to use PayPal and prefer to pay by check only or money order only. For checks, the buyer should have at least 25 positive feedbacks and a 100% feedback rating.

However, if you wish to limit sales to only one country, such as the USA, never say NO when you receive an email asking if you would ship to Taiwan, Germany, Australia or wherever. The reason is that you have a ‘FISH ON THE HOOK!’ This person will bid! When he or she does, this may force a previous bidder to enter another, higher bid or force later, first time bidders to come in with higher bids. So always say YES to these emails if you want to maximize your profits. But do say that PayPal is the only form of payment you will accept for these overseas bidders.

Several members above mentioned Craigslist. Keep in mind that Craigslist is basically a classified that limits you to a particular geographic region. This drastically limits your potential market. Ebay reaches tens of millions of people. My point is simple. Ask 100 people to name an auction site. What do you think the answer will be 99 to 100 times, Sell-It-Here or eBay? If you want to reach the most people to maximize your profits, ebay is still the way to go despite the economy. Craigslist, for the most part, is for larger and heavier items that are cumbersome to ship easily like furniture, dumbbell sets, cars, swing sets, etc.

Do people really make decent money selling on Ebay?
I was just wondering if anybody knows anyone who actually does OK on Ebay. My wife and I are considering selling her antique jewelry.

    • ANSWER:
It depends on what you consider ok.

Yes, if you do the right things you can make nice money on ebay. You could also break even or loose money if you don't do it right.

Start slow, test the waters and do lots of research. Both on Ebay and on other web sites.

  13. QUESTION:
Selling jewelry, selling gold, selling gems..?
What steps do I need to take to sell this jewelry?

Some is very old, even antique -- some would only be grandparents or great grandparents (1800s-1900s)

Mainly gold chains, but a few key pieces of costume jewelry with heavy amounts of gold and gems inserted. (Not sure how much they weigh, im guestimating them all)

Other than weighing the gold myself, how would I go about actually getting the value of these pieces I want to sell? I would take to a jewelry shop that buys -- but I do not want to get ripped off. Nothing is appraised. And some of the older pieces do not have visible karat labels on them that I can see.

Completely clueless about the gems.. how do I find out the actual quality and value of my diamonds and other gems...

    • ANSWER:
I am a refiner and diamond buyer in Florida, and will give you the information you need to sell your items without getting ripped off.

Gold (Based on todays price of 3/oz)- 10k- gram, 14k- gram, 18k- gram.

      Silver- 925/Sterling- a ounce.

This is the absolute least you should get per gram. A lot of place buy it according to pennyweight (DWT) to convert grams to pennyweight just multiply the gram price by 1.55.

I pay around 6% more than the numbers I listed above, if you want to sell them to me give me a call at 877-487-1386. If you know the weight I can pay you via paypal even before you ship out your items.

The diamonds are nearly imposible to know because so many factors go into the selling price. I personally WOULD NOT sell any diamonds, gems etc. right now because of the economy. Diamond prices are down 60% from 6 months ago. Now is the time to sell any gold or silver but not diamonds, gems, or costume jewelry.

      Hope this helped.

  14. QUESTION:
    Selling jewelry question?
How would I go about finding a buyer for an antique diamond ring? I don't want to sell it to one of those "We buy your old gold!" fly by night places...I want someone legitimate. Is there a listing online somewhere of reputable jewelry buyers? I've looked, and haven't had any luck. I live in Atlanta, GA, if that makes a difference.

    • ANSWER:
Take it to a few antique places, and to a few jewelry stores for appraisal's before you decide to find a buyer. Once you have an appraisal on paper, you could even try something like eBay.

  15. QUESTION:
Where can I sell costume jewelry? I saw it on an antiques roadshow once, where do I start to sell it?
I'm cleaning out my deceased grandmother's closet, and found tons of old costume jewelry. Some of it is cheap plastic and going to Goodwill, but some of it is actually nice stuff. I saw an Antiques Roadshow once that said a lot of the old broaches were collector's items and were actually worth money, so the question is, where do I start to try to sell or auction some of it?

    • ANSWER:
There is an organization called the Vintage Fashion and Costume Jewelry association. The members are experts and traders and collectors of vintage costume and fashion jewelry. You might make a good start by contacting them. Maybe someone near you is a member and could help you figure something out. Here is there website.
      http://www.ajraefields.com/vfcjclub.html

You might also go to an antiques consignment shop and see about selling it through them. Just be sure to check their reputation carefully before you leave anything with them.

  17. QUESTION:
Is ebay still profitable to sell things like jewelry, clothes, antiques and make a profit?
I have never used ebay, and I was wondering if the average person could make a profit selling things. OR has it become like many web sites, too many , or scam after scam?

    • ANSWER:
Yes, it still can be profitable despite the present economy. If you are conscientious and put in a little extra effort, you will do well. If you are lazy or indifferent in selling your items, you won’t. It doesn’t matter what you are selling provided it isn’t junk and it has ‘good presentation.’ But to get you started as a new seller…………….

You can go to ebay for a tutorial on how to be a seller:

      http://pages.ebay.com/help/newtoebay/getting-started.html#learnsell

      I will also add:

Be honest and accurate in your descriptions – One-sentence descriptions are for lazy sellers. One paragraph should be sufficient for most items. My general guideline is the more expensive an item, the more you should ‘talk it up.’ It won’t be time wasted. Use lots of adjectives in your descriptions. Adjectives make prose and your items come alive. Without them, prose is dull and your items less appealing.

Be professional - use good English with no spelling errors

ALWAYS include at least one picture, more pictures for higher priced items. Make sure your pictures are clear. There are far too many pictures on ebay that are dark. If prospective buyers can’t see your items clearly, your items, more than likely, will not fetch the closing prices they deserve. To remove darkness, use any photo editor to add some brightness and a wee bit of contrast. Use a SOLID backdrop when taking your pictures as you want to focus all of the attention on your item. Eliminate clutter. Prospective bidders don’t want to know what kind of cereal you eat or what kind of kitchen table or bed you have. In short, the one and only thing you want in your picture is the item being sold. A solid white or light blue backdrop is best. However, there are certainly items that won’t show well on a light backdrop. In these cases, use a darker backdrop. And for gosh sake, don’t even think of using a plaid blanket as a backdrop for your pictures as I once saw on ebay. You should also crop the photos in your photo editor.

GOOD Communication is a must - Always notify buyers when you mail their items. It is not only a courtesy you would want and expect as a buyer but it is also both good customer service and good business practice. After all, you are the 'President & CEO' of your 'company' running your business but using ebay as your selling medium. In short, conduct your business so that it reflects well on you as a person.

      Tips to maximize profits:

Do not limit your payment options – Offer all of them. Sellers who offer only PayPal or only money orders or money orders and checks are further limiting their potential market and reducing their potential to maximize profits. Some people will not bid on items that do not have PayPal as an option. Then you have a smaller percentage who refuse to use PayPal and prefer to pay by check only or money order only.

Do not limit your auctions to one country. SELL WORLDWIDE. The reason is simple. You now have access to the largest market ebay has to offer. Limiting your auctions to only one country also limits your potential profits. A basic business tenet is, 'the greater the potential market, the greater the potential to maximize profits.'

But do say that PayPal is the only form of payment you will accept from these overseas bidders

Avoid selling ‘nickel and dime’ items. People who list and sell a steady stream of items that close for or less are wasting their time. Less expensive, similar items ( or less) are best sold as a group to save time. If you have a large number of these cheaper, similar items, divide them up into sub lots of four or five.

More expensive, similar items are best sold individually to maximize profits. There are ebay ‘vultures’ who just love to swoop down on similarly grouped items in one listing. When they win these auctions, they turn around and sell the items individually and, in most cases, get one and a half to 2 times and sometimes three times what they paid for them on an average item basis. I know this works as, when I had more time, I was one of these ‘vultures.’ This is one of those situations where the parts are worth more than the whole. However, do be cautious if you venture into this arena. You have to know your merchandise. Stay with items/ merchandise that you are familiar with. You can’t jump in blindly to any and every auction that has grouped items.

If you want to do your listings OFFLINE, download the TURBO LISTER program free from ebay. Once you have finished with your listings, you can upload them anytime or schedule a date and time when you want your auctions to start.

Lastly, keep in mind that experience is the best teacher. Start off slowly listing only one or two items and see how that goes for you. Once you get your feet wet and gain confidence, start listing more items on a weekly basis. You will soon learn the ins and outs and the dos and don’ts in short order and ultimately settle on a system that works best for you. Good luck & happy selling!

  18. QUESTION:
What are the best websites for selling Antiques? Join and post for free?? NO EBAY!?
I have found one so far, I ANTIQUE ONLINE. I have found some luck there in selling Vintage Jewelry. But sales for other Antique items I'm looking to sell i.e. China, Glassware, etc. have had little to no luck. Anyone familiar with any other Antique websites that I can join, post, and sell on for free, that are similar to I Antique?? Looking for a website that has high traffic as far as people virtually looking to buy antiques. I'm not looking to do the Ebay, Tias, Etsy thing. Just simple logistics. I'm selling, you want to buy, Paypal, I mail, done. Thanks for any help you can give me!!
Just to clarify, to sell through a "Craig's List" type site for Antiques is no more or less reliable than being taken for a ride on Ebay or any other reputable site for that matter. There are no guarantees. It's unfortunate that there is no faith in people, or their word, within this world anymore. Also, with valuable items I have sold this way thus far, I have fulfilled every request of the buyer. Pics, extensive details, references etc, without problem. My question was directly referring to websites individuals frequent in wanting to find Antiques. How they decide to buy, or how I may sell them; or for that matter how they or I put trust into a potential transaction is irrelevant to my initial question. My question is simply this, "If you wanted to buy Antiques, what websites would you frequent?" Besides Ebay. Bonus if you can post classifieds and join that site for free to. Why is it assumed that to want to sell without hassles and fees is either seen as fraudulent or ill-intended?

    • ANSWER:
As a buyer, I would stick with a Craig's List type where I could see in person what I was buying.

  19. QUESTION:
Can antique ivory jewelry be appraised and sold (re: ivory laws)?
or is it illegal regardless of age? I have these antique ivory necklaces and earrings which were my great grandmother's. They are old and kind of yellowish in color and I just never wear them. Please no links. Not interested in any transactions with YA users. Just would like my question answered in the form of a yes or no. Thanks.

Can't find a good category so I'll put it in law since it has to do with ivory laws.
Add: I was trying to deter people from posting links for sites I can sell them on. Info is ok.

    • ANSWER:
It will depends on how old is the jewelry. And the origin (Asian vs African).

In simple words if it was imported before 1976, OR it's 100 years old then it's legal to own and re-sale.

If age and origin can't be proved by you then you might need the help of some expert (be careful with scam artist posing as "experts.")

Here's a link with a more detailed law explanation plus some charts (you said "no link" but I can't retype the whole chart and legal explanation):

    Antique costume jewelry?
My mother gave me a beautiful necklace and earring set she bought from an estate sale in Avon, Ohio back in the early 80's.

It is squash blossom design and has faux turquoise stones, I believe the chain is silver plated. It is marked (tag on necklace), Emmons, this mark is on both of the earrings. On the other side of mark on necklace has a design - at first I though it was an eye, but with magnifing glass I believe it is a circled E with a crown on top.

The research I have done says Emmons added a trademark after 1955, mine doesn't have this trademark. Found a few Emmons catalogs online and found some pieces sorta like mine around in the 70's.

Any and all help would be appreciated.

Not interested in selling, just would like to know what year this was produced.

The link below will take you to photobucket where I have uploaded a picture of my necklace and earring set.

  32. QUESTION:
What is the best way to go about selling a piece of not antique but not new either jewellery?
On my 18th birthday my grandmother bought me a ring. It's yellow gold with one oval ruby and two small diamonds. This is ten years ago, as you can tell from the description this is by no means an exclusive or antique piece. It cost about 500 pounds back then and I don't expect to get a great deal for it. However it's a difficult thing for me to do and I'm only looking to sell it as my boyfriends inability to repay money to me - we live together so I don't consider myself to have a choice, if he fails to pay his bills I have to - leaves me feeling with no other option. So if I must do it, what is the best way to go about it?

    • ANSWER:
Go to a jewellery shop, an independent small one where they value jewellery and also buy, get a few estimates. Either that or eBay but you might not get the full value for it. Oh and btw dump your bf!!!

    Madrid Shopping Question?
I was wondering where the second hand clothing stores/op-shops are in Madrid? And also, I know there are alot of antique shops, but are there any which sell antique jewellery amd trinkets? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    • ANSWER:
Try this site although I´ll admit that the Antiques part isn´t up to date. Your best bet is to head for Metro: La Latina and head down the hill as if you were going to "el rastro". The area is full of antique & craft shops. When you get to the bottom of the hill turn right and go to the Metro: Puerta de Toledo, It saves you having to climb the hill again. Shops in this area tend to close Mondays as they work the Sunday for the market (ie they´ll be open on the Sunday)

  35. QUESTION:
What is the best way to sell my handmade jewelry?
I've discovered I have quite a knack for jewelry making. I go to Michael's and stock up on beads, pendants, chain, etc. then go home and make a ton of necklaces. Occasionally I'll do bracelets or earrings, but I mainly stick to necklaces. I've been told by SO many people that my stuff is great, and that I should try to sell it.

I've made a website and listed a few things on eBay, but no luck. And yes, I do understand the whole concept that people aren't just going to stumble onto my website, that I need to link to it or run an advertisement in a local paper or something. I understand that.

How else can I go about selling my jewelry? Should I go to small boutiques in my town and ask if I can set up a small table there with my jewelry and try to work out a deal where they get a percent for each sold item? Should I make business cards with my website address on them and get them out? Should I run an ad for my site in a local paper or magazine? Should I try antique malls (where now a days, they sell just about everything, not just antiques) or try local flea markets? Any ideas will be helpful.

Also, one more idea was just trying to get the word out with friends.

    Thanks!
    Cassidy

    • ANSWER:
Etsy is a hit or miss because there is so much competition. I have sales through my website but I also had some sold in a store. I went there, bought something, noticed they also sold handmade jewelry, and asked if they would be interested in selling mine.

Sometimes festival booths are relatively inexpensive so you might want to look into that since it's still festival season. I have business cards too which I also put with the sold pieces when I mail them out.

  36. QUESTION:
What should I do about an antique dealer I think cheated me?
My mother passed away six months ago. I have had the responsibility of liquidating her estate. I did not have much luck selling on my own. My aunt recommended this one man saying that he sold a book for her sister for hundreds of dollars. I did contact him and he took quite a few things including furniture, china, framed art, jewelry and boxes of assorted items. I had to sign a contract which he retained - I have no copy of it. So I asked him for a list of the things he took and he said he would send me one when he had a chance to inventory the consignment. This was back in April. I didn't hear anything from him since so I decided to visit his place of business. I didn't see anything there I recognized as my own. So I located him in his back office and confronted him. He acted like he didn't know me or know anything about the items I gave him to sell. Now I'm not sure what to do. I have no proof of what he took from the house. Any ideas how I should proceed or should I do anything?

    • ANSWER:
With nothing in writing (DUMB, DUMB, DUMB! on your part, where the hell was your brain??), your only option is to try to prove you did give him the items on consignment and have not recieved any payment.

First, contact the police and file a theft report. Even now, they should take it as a valid complaint, and pursue it. You're talking 00's of dollars of value, that's a felony, and jail time for him.

You can prove it by- other people seeing him remove the property? Anyone help him load it, neighbors, friends, anyone else around?? They can witness in court IN PERSON, a written statement from them is useless.

A second action, and this does work, is if you have very detailed descriptions of the items, you can place an ad in the local paper describing them in detail and stating they were stolen, that you BELIEVE they were sold through such and such store, and to contact you or the local police to return said stolen property IMMEDIATELY. Do an entire list. Even if the ad costs a couple of hundred bucks, it's worth it if you get anything back. If even two people contact you or the police and say they bought your mother's china from this asshole, you've got a solid case for either prosecution or civil court to get your money back.

I'd call him and tell him you're going to file a police report, and see if he offers to settle right then and there. If he's smart he'll give you some money, but if not, well, he'll incur 00's in legal bills just to make it go away.

  37. QUESTION:
how can I avoid being cheated on my mother's estate?
My mother passed away last week. Being the executrix of her estate, I'm in charge of liquidating her things like jewelry and other antiques. First, what is the best way to go about selling items - lawn sale, antique dealer, auction? Secondly, I want to make sure I get a fair market value for the stuff. I could hire an appraiser, but they don't work for nothing and would probably charge more that the stuff was worth. Antique dealers only give about 10% of the value. A lot of the furniture isn't in very good condition. I looked on the Internet, but its difficult to find the EXACT same things. Need some serious advice here. Thanks.

After a few hospitalizations she got very mad at me , and started to have hatred for me. She said that she never wanted to sell her jewelry and that she never consented to me using the card. * i do have letters saying how excited she is to get rid of jewelry, and here are my cc and we will subtract the amounts. * but they are typed not hand written. and not signed.

How to make description of expensive Diamond jewelry on Ebay?
    Hello,
i want to sell one diamond necklace on Ebay .. its antique and with 100 carats approx my idea of DIamonds. I am willing to sell it and i am planning to put best offer on it. I need help in making description .
What should i write? What should not be missed? Regards, Ankur

    • ANSWER:
When buying jewelry, people want to be reassured it is genuine so always include any authentication you have - jewelers appraisal, insurance estimate, that sort of thing.

"Antique" means over 100 years old. If you are not certain about this, describe what you do know. How did you come by it? Who owned it? People love a bit of history and romance so if it was a gift, say, from your grandad to your grandma on a wedding anniversary, say it.

Diamonds are described by 4Cs, cut, clarity, color and carat. Give as much description as you can. Give as much detail as you can about clarity (if you don't know, say so, but also comment on any visible flaws, or absence of them). Even if you know the carat weight, a size in mm is always helpful.

Get a good photo - NOT a blurred one. And if you write "the photo does not do it justice" - Take ANOTHER photo.

Put the auction on a thursday or a sunday evening for 10 or 7 days respectively so that it end on a sunday. Plan it to end in the evening about 7pm-10pm.

      Good luck!

  46. QUESTION:
Did I do the right thing. Engagement ring?
I work in a jewelry store, and most of what we sell is estate/antique jewelry. Yesterday, a couple came in looking for a 1920-s style engagement ring. They really didn't like what was in the showcase, so I showed them a ring the jeweler was in the process of restoring (it wasn't out for sale yet). They said they liked it and I explained since we were still doing work on it, it wouldn't be ready until this morning. They agreed to buy it, but I didn't take a deposit since it wasn't custom, was something we were going to put out for sale today anyways and it needed no alterations we weren't doing already. Anyways, we called when it was ready, and they said they thought about it overnight, and no longer wanted to buy it. So, I tagged it, put it in the case, and my coworker sold it an hour later (those kind of rings don't stick around very long). They came in 5 minutes before we closed, and said they thought some more and did want it. I explained it already sold. They got super angry, and the girl started crying. They were upset because we didn't hold it for the day "in case they changed their mind". That's not our policy to hold things people say they don't want. Had they said they wanted to think about it more, I would have held it back, but they said they flat no longer wanted to take it when I called them it was ready. I feel so bad when things like this happen because engagement rings are very emotional items, and this girl was extremely disappointed (and it's not like we could just call up the year 1920 and ask for another one either). Just for my own piece of mind, do you think I was in the wrong for immediately putting it out for sale or they were in the wrong for assuming it would still be there when they told me they didn't want it?

    • ANSWER:
You did exactly the right thing. You followed the store's policy. You can't just hold merchandise indefinitely "just in case they change their minds." They said they didn't want it. That's on them, not on you.

You are right, they are the ones being unreasonable.

  47. QUESTION:
Where can I get this ring?
I saw this really cool zebra ring from forever 21, but it was out of stock, and it was the final sale, so I dont know where I can get it. Are there any websitese other than ebay, craigs list, etc. that sells jewelry like this? either forever 21 rings in particular or even some kind of online store that sells really coll antique jewlery. Thats under 7 or 8 dollars a piece. Thanks!

    • ANSWER:
You can sometimes find cute and cheap jewelry on modcloth.com, but it's harder to find it cheap. If I were you, I'd keep checking forever 21. They add new items to the store almost every day, and a lot of them are similar to older items. I'm sure they'll add something like it again.
