     Take samples and talk to managers/owners but first you need to figure out how much you paid for them and how much u want to make. Give the watches to manager for the amount you need to make a profit on and he will raise that price to make an amount HE needs to make. So let's say you paid .00 each and u want to make .00 on each. You tell manager you want to sell them for no less than .00 ea. Whatever he sells them for you don't worry about. He will make a profit on any price OVER . A good place to sell these things is Hair Salons, Gift Shops, smaller stores and specialty shops. Also try Ebay.

   You can buy as many guns as you want in most states, without giving any i.d., any proof of being trained to use them, or any reason for wanting them. Also, it is fine to pay in cash.

    I am selling my house for cash to an investor.There is a small 15k loan on the house.This means the bank will be involved in the transaction.
    The investor is doing most/all of the paperwork.
    Should I hire a lawyer to check all the paper work?

      Get a lawyer to review the paperwork. The bank is only looking after their interest. If that paperwork says you will be responsible to pay if the investor doesn't, the bank will be just fine with that. Although I suspect that isn't in your best interest.

      The lawyer cost will be money well spent.

      Accept cash. If, and only if, you totally feel you can trust this person then you can accept a bank "Cashier's Check," but push for the cash. Don't accept a personal check or money order - they're too easy to steal, cancel, or forge - (even a cashiers check can be forged, but it's far less likely).

      You'll have to go to your local motor vehicles department to transfer the title and register the vehicle in his name. Do not, under any circumstances, just sign the title and give it to him. If you were to do that and he were to get a lot of parking tickets they'd come after you or, if he were to get in an accident, you could be sued.

      I'd suggest that you tell him you want cash and arrage to meet him at the motor vehicles department where he can pay you, do the transfer, and take possession of the car. That way it's safe for you and you're sure things are done right. If you're not sure where the department is or what all you need you should look them up and call them. Be sure to arrange for a ride back home - either by taxi, by a friend, or by family.

      Cash or PayPal but only AFTER funds are verified in your account. Too many people will write a check then just cancel it out from under you or forge a cashiers check.

      The toys aren'y used, they are tested. The DVD's aren't used either, they have been reviewed. The lingerie can be washed, and sold as pre-washed/pre-shrunk.

      As for the Mags, well that's just disgusting, so throw them out.

      I think you want to skip eBay, and go right to Craig's List.

    If someone asks to pay you with a Cheque on Craigslist, is it probably fraud?
    I'm selling a watch and I get an e-mail from someone that wants to buy it. I tell them paypal or cash is fine and to call me before coming to my house to pick it up. I told them if they wanted to pay with paypal, the transaction had to show up before the 20th, because I'm going on a trip.

    They said, "OK.......Can you accept the means of Cheque so my client will be able
    to send it to you before you go for your trip."

    This doesn't seem right. I'm afraid that if I say I don't accept cheque (I thought it was pronounced "Check" o,O ) but if I do accept it, I could get scammed because the check bounces. What do you think? And who shops for their "clients" on craiglist?
    I could offer them the choice to send me the check and see if the payment goes through and then allow them to have the item. I'm not sure if someone would go for that. They might think I'm the one trying to scam them then.

      Yes, it's likely a fraud attempt. The real tip off is the use of the term "so my client will be able to send it to you". If they use the term "client", "agent" or "my shipper" or anything like that it should set off all kinds of alarms about this transaction. Always, and I mean ALWAYS, meet the buyer in a public place such as a restaurant, where there are people around. Don't have them come to your home if you can avoid it. Always get cash for the transaction. Never take a check or money order. The cheque spelling is from Europe or Canada. The "que" part is pronounced like "ck" so there's no real difference in the pronounciation of the word except for accent.

    What is the very best way to sell a Cartier Watch?
    I recently bought an extremely light used authentic Cartier Tank watch for 0 from a very good (reliable) friend of mine. I have had it inspected at a variety of jewelers and they all have agreed on authenticity (it also came in original casing with all paperwork) However the most a jeweler is willing t give me is around 0 in cash. Not good enough knowing that on ebay they retail for nearly 00 and between 00 and 00 on most online watch stores. I'm hesitant to sell it on ebay because I realize it would be very easy for a buyer to swap it with a fake and claim that I pulled a fast one on him.       If by movies, you mean from a hi def DVD player, then you should go for 1080P. If you will be getting your movies from anywhere else, then no. The only exception would be if you intend to sit verry close to the screen. Go to a store and look at a 720P, 50" set from your normal viewing distance and look for the pixels. If you can't see them, then walk closer to the sey until you do. Then decide if 1080P is worth the extra money. If you plan on getting a hi def DVD in the future, then go for the 1080P.

      You can start by contacting the web host. It will not get you your money back, but may stop him from doing the same to others.

      You may also want to contact the police. I doubt he would be charged for this one incident, but if others call too, that will help build a stronger case.

      People like that are very good at what they do, so don't be too hard on yourself.

      First of all, you should NEVER give a man money... If you are not married, do not give him money... You should have gotten more information from him since you were willing to hand over money. You are pretty much screwed because you dont know much about him, the authorities cant do much since you have no information on him. You need to chalk this up to experience... Im sorry this has happened, but you should have known better to have done that, especially meeting him from a web site.... You never know what you are getting your self into with meeting someone from a web site. Sure he might have been nice, but look what he did to you!       Markups in the jewelry business can often exceed 100%. If you're selling to a dealer, he would have to be buying well below wholesale to make it worth his investment. You might realize 0-200.

      There are a few dealers on Ebay offering your watch (with shipping and a warranty) in the low 0 range. You might try listing yours with a starting price at about 1/2 of MSRP or 0 to see if there is any interest.

      You have been scammed, you lost money, self esteem, pride to con man who makes his living off cheating trusting women. He is a commusate actor and he's played this role many times. He knows what you want to hear and as soon as he has your complete trust the subject of money comes. You think nothing of lending it to him because he is such a gentleman. I was wondering if the body of the watch holds any value at all without the real diamonds in it anymore?

    'Cash In The Attic' - does anyone agree that they are underpciing the antiques and robbing the sellers?
    I've just watched an elderly lady with fabulous antiques letting them go for a song!!! The lady didn't seem to be too convinced about the low prices but the presenters obviously need to sell things in order to have a programme. And Lorne Spicer, the presenter, - chav or what? She's a real Essex girl - what qualifies her to go rummaging about people's homes and flogging off their family treasures for a pittance?

      Keep in mind it is was in vogue or popular right now. Sometimes I think some of the appraisers over price their estimate. It would also seem some of the auction houses they don't get good prices because the buyers aren't there. I know they put special lots in "specialized" auctions which sometimes does better. You would think they would know where the better auctions houses are. Wouldn't you?

      Nothing much qualifies her it seems. The male host seems a bit better and more uninformed but, it makes it nicer to watch. I have not cared much to watch the shows with Miss Spicer.

      The older lady should have had a younger relative acting as a guide. Then again, it depends on how desperate she was for the money. And she could always put a "reserve" price or minimum acceptable bid.

    eBay help! Longest time for an item to be recieved internationally?
    I frequently use eBay. I have a 100% feedback rating and have solved every problem on there quickly and considerately. In early December, I sold a watch on there for 0 to a guy from Canada. I shipped the item on 12/8/2009, but I didn't even ask for a delivery confirmation number b...ecause I typically don't do that. I got a message today saying that the guy still hasn't gotten it. So he filed a dispute with me on PayPal. The problem I'm having is that my checking account doesn't have nearly that much money in it at the moment because I'm between monthly paychecks and typically like to keep cash on me (and I spent alot of it, too). The dispute says they will subtract 0 out ASAP. I don't know what to do. There's certainly a chance the post office has just been slow with the item because of Christmas and everything, right? I'm trying to get him to drop the dispute at least for now, but what exactly do you guys think I should do?

      If you shipped the item to Canada from the U.S. and it was in a package, then you should have proof on the receipt you received from the post office that it was shipped, and it should be trackable by that info - you did fill out a customs slip, right ?? Hopefully you still have your receipt from the p.o. and that can be taken to the p.o. and they can track the package from there. As far as the paypal dispute, you can contact them at 1-888-221-1161 and ask how to input the info from the receipt to prove shipment. This should stop or at least pause the dispute. It usually takes several weeks for a dispute to be finalized so your paypal account will have a negative balance until then.

      Start out with a condo and put at least half of your savings on it but keep the other half for emergency fund and go with a 15 year fixed mortgage. You can then upgrade to a larger home when you have another K to put down after your 15 year mortgage is paid. Your credit score and ability to save shows you are responsible and can afford a home but don't strap yourself into a huge home in case you lose income or have to move or illness strikes. If you do get a condo, get a two bedroom and find a reliable roommate to help you pay that mortgage even faster.

    I'm watching He-Man and She-Ra cartoons on the RTV network (Detroit channel 7.2) right now, and I watch "Heathcliff" and "Inspector Gadget" on the THIS-TV network (Detroit channel 4.2) every weekday morning before school. Why do they advertise life insurance, sell-gold-for-cash, and other junk that kids would have no interest in? What ever happened to toys, cereal, and McDonalds commercials during cartoons?

      Lots of adults watch cartoons for various reasons, and it's the adults the advertisers need to connect with because they're the ones with any money. (Or a lack of money in the case of sell-gold commercials - that's also why they advertise tech schools and whatnot at that time.)

In other words, valuing financial gain ahead of life, love, loyalty, family, morals, ethics,etc has always been the source of much that is bad.       De la Hoya is who made Floyd a star, there is no real debate about that. Prior to the Oscar fight, no one outside boxing really had any idea who Floyd Mayweather was. He had proven he couldn't carry a PPV on his own.

    My kid is in love with a rich girl and plans to marry her someday. She's got some serious emotional problems that don't seem to bother him much (like extreme shyness, clinginess, controlling his every move, calling the shots on every decision, ranking on his friends and flipping out if he doesn't text her every hour--that's for starters).

    Her parents ignore her and obviously want someone to marry her to take off the heat. He's "of age" so I have no say but feel he's throwing away his life on this chick for $$$!     Because these are really conservatively invested mutual funds, they're almost an index of the stock market, at least that's how I sometimes see them.

    Do you think the "cash for clunkers" program will make it more expensive to buy an used car in the near future?
    I want to buy an used truck at some point. I was actually thinking of buying one that is a later model that is actually more than the amount someone would get with the cash for clunkers plan. But I was thinking that maybe the price for that truck would go up because in the market in general for used vehicles, there is a case of artificial scarcity. So many of these vehicles are being destroyed that would normally be sold to someone else.

    I just watched a youtube video recently where an auto auctioneer was complaining about the negative impact this program is having on their business. So while everyone is going on about the dealerships and how successful they are, what about other people in other business that will be negatively affected by this?
    While is it true that there are millions of cars on the road and this has only taken out 200,000 so far, it will take out more if they approve the additional funds. Not every vehicle out there is for sale or will be on the market. These were cars that the people would likely have sold at some point. So, it's not simply that there are plenty of used cars. It's used cars that are available for sale.

    And I have a personal reason because I did plan on buying an used truck within the next year.

    Ok...Can a stop payment on a check be reversed?

I was given a 0 check from a jewelry store for a watch i sold to them, but they later found out that the watch wasn't real, (I didn't know that because it was a gift from my grandpha), so they put a stop payment on the check the same day. I had already gone to my bank and deposited and got 0 cash. this was a thursday, so the stop payment takes a whole day to happend,(friday). So I payed the jewelry store back the 0, and they returned the watch. But on monday I check my account and have a stop payment/reversed check, so what can I do to get my money back. I already talk to the jewelry store and said they will reversed the stop payment on check and the money will appear on my account. Can u reversed or stop a stop payment on a check?

      Since you agreed to the watch being false and you have the property You payed for the watch. The jewelry store will make sure you get your money back or you can proceed with the legal stuff The store is basically stealing from you at this point. I suspect that within a couple of days your account will be accredited your money.

    Mike was arrested and is being held without bond for possession of cocaine. He has a past recored that is over a decade old and has not been charged with anything sense 1996. He has been clean, staying out of trouble and taking care of his girlfriend and her grand kids.
    The cop that arrested him had been watching a drug dealer that was in the fast food place where Mike had stopped to get a drink on his way home from the library. Mike had spoken to the girl that the cops where watching but he did not buy anything from her nor did he know she was selling drugs.
    Mike is studying geology at SJCC and did have a piece of quarts that he was going to show his teacher, the cop took it and realizing it wasn't cocaine, throw it in the street. The cop stopped another person how did have cocaine on him and the cop put some of that cocaine on Mike. The police will not give me the names of the other people involved sighting their rights but what about Mikes rights. Mike can't pay for a lawer. HELP

      Rich people get off really easy in court: O.J. Simpson, Robert Blake, Phil Spector, Paris Hilton, etc. Poorer people usually get pretty close to what they deserve. Because of prison overcrowding, even most poor people don't serve even half of their sentence.

50. QUESTION:
    Temporarily parking 401K into cash?
    My husband has watched 2 different 401Ks evaporate and is growing nervous as of late. Obviously, the markets are having some problems and there is rampant uncertainty globally.

    He'd like to park a majority of it in cash for the summer (not quite sell in May and go away). We are 70% stocks, 30% bonds. Nearing 50 years old, son in college...too much credit card debt (we are working on that). Our house is in a good position and we maybe selling that soon to move to a different neighborhood--unrelated to our finances.

    Anyone else getting a bit nervous and switching some things around?

    I should say we are NOT down significantly in anything we're in. It's not that we are cutting and running, rather preserving and re-evaluating.

      It is not conventional wisdom, but it is perfectly rational. I moved my 401k to 100% cash back in 2000 because I thought the dot com bubble was bursting. Stayed that way for several years.

      See if your plan has a Stable Value option. This could generate significantly better returns relative to other cash choices. My plan's Stable Value fund is currently paying almost 4% which is quite good for this low-rate environment.
