Frequently Asked Questions

  1. QUESTION:
We see lots of places willing to buy our gold jewelry for lots of cash. Who is buying the gold from them?
If you sell your gold jewelry at one of those places that buys your gold, who buys the gold from them? It looks like there is a demand for the gold and we just don't know about it and seem to be selling our gold jewelry at these places. The value of the dollar is declining and it's no longer backed by gold. What happens if the dollar collapses?

    • ANSWER:
They are hoarding it. They will not pay you a fair price either. You are better off selling at a garage sale, online, or to a person. The ones that are buying it up now are speculating that the price will go sky high and it will. Keep it if you don't really need to sell it.

  2. QUESTION:
Is cash for gold a scam? Are we really getting the truth?
The value of the american dollar WILL dramatically decrease. The only people left that will be able to survive buying food and other things will be those who have accumilated gold and silver. IF this is the truth, doesn't it make sense that the company cash4gold will willingly spend money to buy gold and silvers off of you?

    • ANSWER:
It's not necessarily a scam, but more of a complete rip-off. I agree with some of the other contributors about the limited payout to you in order for the gold buyer to then sell for a considerable profit. I would not trust selling gold or jewelry online - it's always best to have it appraised and then sold at separate venues.

Check out cashforgoldscams.com for more information on this specific type of 'scam'. Also, check out GetPayback.com for recent claims that consumers have posted to help warn the public about other scammers and rip-offs. If you have a scam to report you should file a free claim with them and warn the public and get payback against malicious companies or businesses.

      good luck!

  3. QUESTION:
Is there something dodgy behind the `We buy gold´ adds?
It seems that in the last few months, gold adverts are everywhere! On buses, on the tv, on posters, on the radio... which spurs me to think that gold merchants out there are well aware of the money to be made out of gold atm. In my city robberies tied to jewelry have suddenly exponentially increased! In times of crises, people are prepared to sell their limited gold for cash (for undervalued prices as well). This is to me is taking advantage of people's lack of information on the industry and the commodity's price in the global market. So... Keep hold of your GOLD!

    • ANSWER:
People should keep hold of their gold. If you have any, it will increase in value quicker than the equivalent in cold hard cash would in your bank account. You hear them saying 'gold is at it's highest value in decades' on the adverts. That's because it always goes up in value, over the longer term. It may occasionally dip, but overall, gold is a better banker than money in a bank account.

What these firms do is buy gold at it's current monetary value, hold onto it for 3 or 6 months and then sell it on. They're backed by huge financial investors, so they can afford to do it. It's more profitable than waiting for interest to accrue. Sell it on later - they have more money. That's the way it's always worked with gold.

For these people, gold replaces the very low interest rates that are offered by banks currently.

  4. QUESTION:
whether to buy land or gold?
my parents have now finished 50 years of their age, they are pvt sector employees they both dont have any pf benifit in their companies due to some reason. in our town from where my family comes from land is avl for rd 1.5 lacs and we have cash available to buy it, but now my parents think that land prices havent grown there over a period of time so they think buying gold now would be a better option as prices are rising.please suggest. its basically for retirement we are planning

    • ANSWER:
      This is all very amusing.

"Over the long run gold will rise" (It's been essentially stable for 600 years not beating inflation but now it is going to rise? The one thing you can absolutely count on is that in the long run gold returns = inflation or less). "Gold is in demand in India and you live in India" (The price of gold is the same everywhere in the world).

Frankly, this is like saying should I get dressed up and go out to dinner or should I ride my bicycle for exercise. They are just completely different investments with different goals, different risks, different future outlays of cash, different demands for your time managing them, etc, etc. You need to find a financial planner who will help you clarify your investment goals before you invest in either.

  5. QUESTION:
Should one buy gold at this time?
OK, I have inherited a little bit of cash (K). I was thinking about spreading it around to make some money on it. I bought a T-bill, and some shares of McDonalds and WalMart already. I was thinking of buying gold if it drops into the 0 range. I can't help but think that Congress' "stimulis" package is going to be inflation trouble in the future. But it looks like we are going to be in a deflation for a good part of this year still. What think ye?
How does an ETF work? I have only heard them spoken of and have no idea what it does for an investor

    • ANSWER:
no more than 20% of your total investment should be in gold. It's a nice hedge against the devalued dollar (which is on the horizen). I personally buy the ETF, GLD, so I don't physically have to store the stuff. remember storing gold in a bank safety deposit box is usually not insured if a catastrophe occurs. If u store it at home, be sure to get an alarm system and contact your homeowners policy broker. An ETF is an exchange traded fund and u buy and sell on the exchange like u would a stock. The fund holds the gold, you don't. U buy at the rate of 10% of the current price of an ounce. e.g. If gold is selling for 0 per ounce, you'll pay about for one share (1/10 th of an ounce).

  6. QUESTION:
I’ll sell you a sack of rice for a bar of gold when the excrement hits the rotating ventilation device?
We r talking about 'stash cash for another stock crash' he said he will buy foods, i said food can expire. gold never expire, people should buy gold, and he answer this. I dont understand wat did he mean. Help me pls!
Wat should i answer to him? I dont think there is a day that a sack of rice is more valuable than a bar of gold

    • ANSWER:
A "rotating ventilation device" is a fan.
      "Excrement", is, well, sh!t.
So, when the sh!t hits the fan, he'll sell you a sack of rice for a bar of gold.
When the global economy collapses back to the caveman days, rice will be more valuable than gold...

  7. QUESTION:
Which Cash For Gold Company is the best? What about CashKit?
I found a unique website called www.cashkit4gold.com where they seem to being paying top dollar for all gold and unwanted jewelry. I know Gold futures rose Wednesday for the first time in 3 days.

It seems like it's a smart time to sell and cash in. Only being the second day in April, Gold is now at 5.80 an ounce. Is now the time to sell? The website cashkit4gold.com states “CashKit4Gold.com will buy all unwanted gold jewelry. Since we only buy scrap gold over the internet, our overhead is very low compared to refineries. Use the CashKit to turn your gold into cash.”

    • ANSWER:
You are better off finding a gold refiner in your area, thereby eliminating the middleman.

  8. QUESTION:
Should we sell our house, then rent and invest in gold, or just buy a smaller house?
We want (need) to move to a different area but house prices there are higher, although they are continuing to fall with the current market conditions. Would moving there and renting for one year, putting the £40-50K of cash we would make from the sale of our current house (after paying the rest back to mortgage provider) into an investment, such as gold (?), be a wise move, with a view to purchasing in that area a year later when house prices may have fallen a further 10%? Or could our £40-50K also suffer a similar, or even worse, loss? Would it be better to just buy a smaller house for now? How safe is gold - is that the safest thing to do with our money?

Will probably consult a financial advisor but would be interested to hear what people out there have to say.

Oh, we live in the UK (Midlands), i.e. we're talking about the sterling (GBP) here, although I appreciate there's similar problems globally at the moment.

    • ANSWER:
I am also an american. You need to talk to an estate agent that is familiar with what is happening to home values in both the area you are leaving and the one you are moving to. No one can be sure when prices will bottom out so waiting to buy again may not be your best option. You do need to keep a roof over your head and what you pay out in rent will probably be greater than what you can earn by investing the money you expect to net from the sale of your current home. If you were to choose to invest and wait then you DO NOT want to take any risks with the money. Since this is money that you will definitely need to use in the near future you need to put it into a safe investment. That means something that does not fluctuate in value. Gold can go down in value as well so I would avoid that.

  9. QUESTION:
Recommendation for reliable gold buyer on line.?
I've browsed web site Cash for Gold, We buy Things and Craigslist. Has anyone sold their gold jewelry satisfactorily through any of these buyers on line? Thank you very much.

    • ANSWER:
cash4gold has a very good reputation, and is the largest buyer of scrap gold out there. Your best option is to shop it around, in the end, you should sell to a metal refiner like cashforgold

Here's a quick guide on how to do it

  12. QUESTION:
If BP offered a Buy Back for the Oil would everyone with a Boat & a scooper be out there collecting Black-Gold?
I see all the people on the News scooping oil off the sand; but they all look like Government Workers (No Motivation No Zeal)

What we need is entrepreneurial motivation. AKA Cash Incentives. If BP starts buying back the Oil every Cajun with a boat will be scraping the ducks and washing the weeds for that oil.

    • ANSWER:
Many of the people that you see helping in the cleanup are volunteers. It isn't always about money. Some people actually care. Environmentalists especially are very concerned about the damage to the environment and some are actually skilled in cleanup techniques.

If BP wants to offer reward programs it can do so at any time.

  13. QUESTION:
How do I know how much this necklace is worth?
**Please don't post an answer unless you have read my information all the way through and have a valid and helpful answer**

I have this funky little necklace that I think I got from a yard sale (it isn't mine nor anyone else's that I know of, and no one wants it). It has a little tag thing on the claps that says "14 KGS" or "14 KG5", does this mean it's gold or gold plated?. Is the necklace worth anything and if so, about how much? Is it worth the trip to the pawn shop or to those shop's that buy gold stuff?

It's about 16 inches long, it's not a chain, but has odd looking links that I'm not sure how to describe.

(I also have another necklace but can't find it at the moment, it too had a tag with numbers and letters, which I can't remember off the top of my head, but it was silvery vs. the gold color of the first necklace, how do I know if it's silver, white gold, or just a cheap metal. Also, does white gold tarnish? The silvery necklace had a grey looking substance on it which came off with light rubbing, but I'm not sure if it was tarnish or simply dirt from wearing and poor storage.)

While I'm at it, can anyone tell me what numbers and letters I should look for on jewelry, and what I can overlook, so I can distinguish the real thing and costume peices. And what if a piece has a gemstone? My mother had taken earings, that I could have sworn had saphires in them (she had gotten them a long time ago, and I wouldn't have known what to look for), to one of those cash for gold places. When I asked about the stone's, the man behind the counter said that they were pretty much worthless, or something like that. Was he right or did we get jipped?

    • ANSWER:
Yes, the 14KGS indicates a plated necklace. It is not valuable, and not worthwhile taking to a pawn shop.
The second necklace sounds like it could be silver. ( White gold would not tarnish like that ) Look for a hallmark of 925. That would indicate it is Sterling silver.

These are hallmarks you want to avoid...
      K.P. = Karat Plate
      GF = Gold Filled
      GS = Gold Shell
      HGE = Heavy Gold Electroplate

These are the common hallmarks used in the US for genuine metal jewelry

      GOLD...

      K = Karat ( 14K would be 14 karat etc...)
KP = Karat Plumb (the manufacturer guarantees it the minimum amount of gold)

      410 = 10K
      585 = 14K
      750 = 18K
      917 = 22K (Asia)
      999 = 24K pure gold (Asia)

      SILVER...
      925 = Sterling
      Sterling
      Taxco
      MEXICO

      PLATINUM...
      Pt
      Irid. Plat.
      Pt 900
      Pt 950
      PLAT

As far as the sapphire earrings, they could be genuine sapphire, just not of a good quality or the man didn't have the gemology expertise to determine their worth, or he could have been wanting to rip you off.

  14. QUESTION:
Where can a common man sell gold?
Whenever we want to sell some household gold the jewellery shops say that they only sell but dont buy. They are ready to exchange our gold for new jewellery but refuse to give cash . Few big shops buy , but at heavily discounted price , almost amounting to day light robbery. Does it mean that gold has no liquidity at all ? Why do people say gold is a good investment if it can not be converted to cash ? I am asking only about common men belonging to middle class for fully legal transactions.

    • ANSWER:

in last past years it is best tool against inflation.it is easy to hold as stock with security feeling.
in india goldsmith do purification of gold jewellery in its purest form '24carat''
the 24carat gold piece might be sold to any jewellers at current market rates.
jewellery with hall mark can be returned against cash to the jeweller from where you bought.

  15. QUESTION:
    what is up..............?
Does anyone find it fishy how the "buying gold" and "diamonds" commercials are disappearing and all you see is them asking you to bring your gold in for cash? When the New World Order comes we are going to be chipped and there will no longer be cash. Dont change your gold for money, the gov. wants us to give the gold in exchange for cash so that they have all the gold in the world...the only thing that's actually worth something. We have given money value.

    • ANSWER:
The world is on a gold hold.

  16. QUESTION:
Is it going to be deflation, inflation, stagflation, biflation, or hyper-inflation in 2009?
Given the massive government saving plan, government deficit will probably reach record high, and it is going to be backed by the US treasury. While major US treasury buyers, like Japan and China, were continuing to seek alternatives for their foreign exchange reserve, what will happen if the ultimate US treasury buyer, FED, might have to buy back a major stake by printing more money?

Central banks have been injecting a lot of liquidity into the banking system, but yet, the increase of money supply stayed inside the banking system. Commercial banks were refusing to lend out the money due to risk aversion. However, what will happen if these banks were nationalized and were forced to release these money into the credit market?

Some people were saying, even though money supply increased, cautious corporate/consumer spending has made the velocity of money circulation remain low. So, inflation will not happen in such an economic environment. Is this true?

The media was reporting the potential downgrade of US credit rating due to large US government deficit. What will happen if people were losing faith in USD, reversing the recent strong USD trend and triggering the depreciation of USD in 2009?

Although all the above were evidence of a weaken USD and inflation threat, various asset prices, ie. properties and stocks, were still dropping. How can we explain such an asset price drop, given the potential inflation threat?

People are also mentioning stagflation, biflation, hyper-inflation, but I really have no idea which will be the actual case in 2009.

For those who have reserved some/a lot of cash to survive this financial tsunami, could you kindly share with us what you'll do with your cash in 2009? Buying TIPS? GOLD? OIL ETF? Fixed Deposite? or Just put them all under your pillow?

    Thanks all.

    • ANSWER:
Currently US saving rate is 6% which is a big increase from the negative savings rate that we have had for the last decade. So over the coming year there will be about 800 billion dollars that the government can borrow in the US credit markets so we should need no more loans from foreign sources that we have been borrowing. The theory behind the stimulus is that the government should borrow and spend the money the businesses and consumers are saving because of their recession fears. I think the most likely danger in the near future is still deflation and over the next few years will depend on the fed timing in withdrawing the extra liquidity as the economy recovers.
There is some talking head on TV will say almost everything you can imagine, but much better way of predicting the credit rating of the US is to watch interest rates on US bonds which continue to be at record lows.
I have my money invested in the house that I live in which has a lot of equity because I bought it a long time ago. The remainder is split between ETFs because I am an optimist and and think the stock market will recover, and the other half in CD's because I am cautious. If I did not have a house I would put some money in tips to protect against inflation,

Reason for Closure: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: Abuse of the Economy

This account was closed because one or more characters were identified exchanging, or contributing to the exchange of, in-game property (items or gold) for "real-world" currency. This exchange process negatively impacts the World of Warcraft game environment by detracting from the value of the in-game economy.

Why is there a fuss about the Ronaldo cash not being available at Man.United?
    Ronaldo cash - £80 million

    £18 million Antonio Valencia
    £6 million Obertan
    £6 million Diouf
    £6 million Mexican
    £10 million Smalling
    £5 million Bebe
    £5 million lindergaard

    that amounts to £56 million.
As you must have noticed they are young talent waitin to explode.
Just because of some haters and because of CITY splashing money doesnt mean fergie needs to spend on players he doesnt want . We'll do it THE UNITED WAY
ONLY cash generated was by £6million Ben but United are not a small club who should sell to buy

    Remaining cash £24 million

cash offered for tevez is £25 million
    villa was £35 million
benzema was £35 million and THEY turned down United (foolishly)

Glazers aint all bad as people make out.
True average ticket prices have risen from £35 then to £59 now

open your eyes - ABRAMOVICH who is considered to be great has risen it as much. Not soon before Mansour does it at City.

We are UNITED not Liverpool to moan about owners.
So dont jump the bandwagon of haters and ABUs

this is my reasons for not supporting Green and Gold who are frankly just causing mayhems and riots
UNITED'S Future has forever been supposed to be gloom- the Owners have signed the required players ALWAYS.
Just look back to 07 where Fergie splashed out on FOUR £20 million signings

    • ANSWER:
Ferk Benzema wanted to be a glory hunter and go to Real Madrid and NOW he is suffering because Jose does not rate him as a player as far as I am concerned he can stay there

Ticket prices have risen 68.60% that is criminal

If the Glazer family is not that bad allow the financial books and statement to be opened to a independent firm of financial scrutineers to go over all of the band records

I was planning on a 2 carat stone, but will probably go with 1.98ct or somewhere around there to save money, since it's close enough to 2, and once you hit the 2ct mark, the price jumps significantly.) I want a Verragio Lumino setting, but could take the design to a local jeweler to have it copied, so to speak...
I own a home, IRA, 401k, have a safety net of 6-8 months and am set on the path towards retirement, (Not there yet, of course, but the plan is running its course.) This k that I have saved is literally set aside specifically for the ring. I have been with my GF for 5 years and we have been living together for over a year now. She's the one and I'm ready to propose.

I am looking for creative financing options, other than dealer financing or tossing the loan onto credit cards or HELOCS. Anyone ever taken a part-time job at a jewelry store to save money? I'm 25yrsold

    • ANSWER:
2K is a decent amount to put down on it.
I know a lot of jewelers will run promos, especially now that it's getting close to holidays. You can prolly find a place that won't charge interest for a year or so...that's what they did to my husband. You may be able to work out a deal if you purchase your wedding bands at the same place also.
Good luck and congrats in advance :-)

  22. QUESTION:
Can I ask for restitution?? Can I sue him civilly?? What is better?
My house was burglarized. The amount of jewelry stolen was about 00 when I bought it a few years ago. With today's gold value, for me to replace it, I'm looking at about 10k. The 2 burglars have confessed and been arrested. They admitted getting 0 at a cash for gold place. They are stupid business people, what can I say. I can only recover 1k from my insurance because of deductible and limit/capt on jewelry. I was unaware of the insurance cap. I would like restitution. Could it apply to this? I personally don't care if it takes 20 years to get. It is the principle of the thing. My husband is unemployed, and we have a special needs child. We were kicked while we were down. We did recover our gun, laptop and one gaming system. I still lost thousands. I have 4 people who can ID them. Three of my neighbors were walking that morning and saw them within 15 minutes of the burglary, and my next door neighbor had one of them knock on her door seeing if she was at home.

I would like to know what you suggest. I would like a judgment, that is not dischargeable in bankruptcy. The persons are late teens/early 20's and would have nothing to loose by declaring bankruptcy. One of them just got out of prison. Could I get a lien on any tax returns/payroll/ property?? Who should I contact to get this?

Thank you for your suggestions. I am the squeaky wheel that gets the grease. I will bug anybody that I have to.

Also, can I sue the cash for gold place that bought my stolen jewelry?? Obviously they made money off my jewelry too. They say they already sold it to a gold buyer so I can't recover it. I personally don't believe them. I thought about sitting outside their shop with a sign: "We buy stolen property." What do you think?? How far away do I need to be? I can be the biggest pain in the butt. Tell me what I need to do.

Yes I made it my mission to catch these criminals. I gave the cop an address from a person who refused to speak to the police. Yes he lived there.

    Thank you for your time;)
I don't mean to take the credit for catching him. I was correct in who he was, but he confessed off a separate burglary.

    • ANSWER:
Yes do all the aforementioned. You have you jewelry value to gain and nothing more to lose

      Your cool

  24. QUESTION:
Credit Problem : coming back from a long trip abroad?
    Hi there,
I left USA for 7 years as i was living in France with my husband and gave birth to a wonderful child called Alice. In jan 2008 we decided to leave France to come to live in USA. Myself i'm born and raised in the US, i never had any credit issues. My husband is french and still have a pending Social Security affiliation. Our baby is 100% american now, she does own a US passport and a SS number. I've managed to open a bank account (WaMu), a joint account so my husband's name is on it, we both have a credit card (Mastercard Gold Debit), we bought a car (cash) and insured it but i can't go further than that because of my credit...
We tried to rent a place, but we have been declined EVERYWHERE we applied because my credit history show 0 proofs of existence. Seems like the 7 years i spent abroad made my credit go blank. There's no sign of activity, as i was paying taxes in France for 7 years too. Nobody is willing to take us as tenant even tho we have $$$. What should i do???

    • ANSWER:
Where do you live in the United States?

People from other countries move to the United States to go to school, work, etc. All of these people are able to find places to live. (Millions of Americans also have bad credit and the vast majority of these people are able to find housing.)

If you or your husband have a job, you should be able to rent an apartment. It's not that hard.

Try to rent from individual landlords instead of large, corporate apartments.

      Good luck.

  25. QUESTION:
Should We Expect a Rise in Co-Op Based Personal Economics?
The alternatives would seem to be trying to fix a broken system, that is on fire, and totally dysfunctional, and utterly unable to receive any information from outside it's broken self.

    or

We can just do nothing and slide down the drain as the whole US economy and all US power in the world slides down the drain, so at least we didn't waste any effort trying to do anything to save ourselves ..

    or

We could start building personal networks of Co-Op based economics.

There are 1000 kinds of Co-Ops (food, clothing, toys, books, tools, fuel, vitamins, whatever).

A sovereign individual who is in some way productive could join one or several co-operatives and make it a policy "I never buy anything from anybody that doesn't buy anything from me."

These would all be considered restraints of trade, under the Sheman Act, the Clayton Act, the Robinson Patman Act etc, but with the government collapsing under its own weight and into it own corruption and filth, it is very unlikely that they will send a team of DOJ lawyers to your house to monitor and convict you of the crime of economic survival. Remember you have a right to a jury trial. The other folks on the jury might be doing the same thing or getting ready to.

So, the sovereign individual, by necessity, operates maybe not so much in accordance with each and every rule that was popular in 1940. Necessity is often a legal excuse, and sometimes even a justification.

Trading communes could link up, so many specialized communes can trade through hubs. This is on a members only basis. Membership is protected by freedom of association guarantees in the First Amendment, that's why some country clubs still get to pick and choose their members. Trading communes are like clubs not like public markets. They are more like intra-nets or LANs than they are like the Internet.

To stay viable they need two things -- They need legacies -- fairly large ones -- help defray their very frugal but unavoidable administrative and legal expenses. There are tons of rich people in USA. Some believe in the sovereign inidividual concept. They want to see more of it, instead of a sluide into socialism and finally into anarchy. So legacies are a possibility. If PBS and NPR can get them, why not Economic Self-Reliance Communes?

The other thing that's needed is exports. But not exports to China. Just to outside the Commune. Stuff has to be created within the commune and sold to outsiders for gold, or cash that is immediately converted into gold. This is called Merchantilism -- and it was the entire basis of the economic success of USA during the period 1787 till 1887. It does work. And the exporting is easy -- just take the stuff down the block, sell it at a farmer's market, sell it on Ebay, or Craig's list. It's exporting because it is merchantilist trading with an outside economic actor.

Hard cash is needed even by sovereign individuals because they can't make their own patent pharmaceuticals. They have to trade with the world for that. They can't do their own surgical operations. They can't build their own computer chips. So, for some things there has to be disposable hard cash. That means the Commune must have a source -- Legacies and Exports.

Three basic choices (1) fix an unfiaxable system (2) passively go down the drain with it or (3) unplug from it and start an alternative economics -- a new reality, when the old one won't do.

In management this third option would be an example of the Blue Ocean Strategy, first made popular by the Boston Consulting Group.

    It's for smart people.

So thank goodness for the First Amendment -- not every highway has to be a public highway.

Networks of Trading Communes linked together by quality control, well designed goods, and free flow of information -- everybody in the system gives good weight -- liike Bob Dylan said -- when you live outside the law you MUST be honest.

This does not bring down capitalism. It does not bring down socialism. It bypasses both with harm to neither. It's inherently convivial -- live and let live. Exercise your liberty or you don't merit its continuance!

    • ANSWER:
I respectfully differ with Bored Goblin: if employee ownership can work in a company as large as Publix Supermarkets, and it works well enough that Kroger tends to avoid going head-to-head against Publix, the only Krogers left in Florida being standalone drugstores, then I see no reason that hospitals and manufacturing firms cannot follow the cooperative model.

Some years ago on MacNeil/Lehrer instead of doing the usual Hallmark Card boilerplate Thanksgiving story an economist did a report on the economic history of the Pilgrim and Puritan colonies: They failed as Corporations because the workers did not achieve their maximal productivity for the benefit of absentee owners, they failed as collectives because the free riders floated along at the expense of the producers, but succeeded as cooperative ventures where the rewards of productivity were more equitably portioned, thus giving the workers greater incentive to work hard and well.

  26. QUESTION:
Why do girls take money from men?
Why do girls take so much from men financialy? Even if they are not gold diggers they always want our money, we have to pey for dates, we buy the drinks, we always constantly have to buy gifts or give cash for them to be happy, or for them to give it up to us men. Im tired of it, WTF!!?? do u woman want my $ for? I might as well pay a hooker for sex, i might actualy save more money doing that.

    • ANSWER:
Well if you love a girl you'd be willing to do that. If you feel that a girl is getting money from you, and that she doesn't love you, then break up.

Forget equal rights for women. In families, women TEND to depend on men for help. They depend on you for financial support and moral support. If you don't want to give your next girlfriend any money, maybe a family is not for you?

I might be a little strong when it comes to this, but I still hope this helps.

  27. QUESTION:
Trying to get out of debt, when is the best time to sell our scrap gold and silver?
My husband and I are trying to get out of debt, paying off credit cards, student loans, etc. We have made quite a dent in the past two years considering we have a six year old, four year old, and one year old. We have a decent amount of scrap gold and silver we would like to sell to pay off debt or invest in my husbands business (he needs cash for a buying trip as we sell items online). We have a friend that does this and will give us a fair price for it. Do we hold onto it and hope that the prices continue to climb, or go ahead and sell it and pay towards our debt or invest in the business now? When do you think it will reach it's peak price?

    • ANSWER:
Unfortunately, it is not clear when gold and silver will "peak", but it looks like some point in the indefinite future. It could be next month, it could be years down the road. Gold and silver have appreciated nicely over the past 5 years, but I don't think anyone can tell you when the best time to sell would be.

How do I ask my Fiance 2send me $ 4 the wedding band HE'S supposed to buy when he'd said he send it and hasn't
He's in the military and we are in 2 different states. I've asked him over and over again but, still he hasn't sent me anything. My wedding band was costly and I really didn't have the money but, figured since it was on sale at the time I'd buy it. How do I tell him it's his responsibility to buy my wedding band and I'm supposed to buy his without sounding *itchy and like a gold digger? I don't want to make him feel like I'm badgering him about it either, but, I'm kinda tight with cash right now trying to pay for a wedding and it seems like he's not helping contribute to the finances for it.

  30. QUESTION:
when is the best time to buy a home as of 10-6-2010?
I am thinking of buying a home but I'm not sure if this is the right time or not. Our economy isn't doing well at all and i fear that sooner or later we will be in a inflation, or a hyper inflation. Our hard owned money is being depreciated by the government each and everyday. Our money is losing value slowly and now people are losing there faith on holding on to the cash and going to gold or real estate. I know I'm not a person who knows a lot but I seen these on the news. Our government is corrupt. And the way they solve problem is taking more in control of the world and devaluing our dollar. Well i got off the subject, please let me know when do you think is the right time to buy a home. I am planning to buy with my parents so they can help me pay half the rent, but I'm not sure if i should buy a home now or wait more till the price declines more. I have saved a little for down payment, and even right now home prices for me is too high for me to afford. I work part time as a waiter so i don't make much. But with the help from my parents paying half the rent or so i can maybe afford but still skittish on whether or not to buy. I know that i do not want to buy a mobile home or even rent an apartment . I want something that would hold value in. Also owning a home is great with freedom. Let me know please should i wait or will hyper inflation hit the U.S. I want to own something before my money devalues more.

    • ANSWER:
No one can see the future. No one has any idea if home prices are going to go up or down in the short term or even the medium term. When prices go up, interest rates usually go down, and when interest rates are high then the prices often stay low, so sometimes it works out about the same if you have to borrow. Owning a home is a long term thing. You may not see any real financial benefit for 10 years or more but you'll see it one day. The best time to buy a home is when you can afford it, when you're pretty sure you can continue to afford it. If you can't afford it now, you wait. I'd say if you're not sure it's the right thing to do then don't do it.

  31. QUESTION:
Help what killed my gold fish?
Okay sorry this is sorta long. I really need some help figuring this out. Please only serious answers and please don't be rude. I have had fish tanks before. The last one I had before this one was a 55 gallon fish tank but we were moving to South America so I sold it. Wish I hadn't but then we didn't end up going, only moved somewhere else in the USA. So when a few days over two weeks ago someone gave me 13 goldfish I was delighted to have fish again. They gave them to me in two fish bowls so, the next day my son and I went to Walmart and since I was not cash rich I bought a five gallon tank. I know too small for 13 fish. But my mom wanted some so I was going to take her all but 4 of the fish when I went to pick up my daughter who was visiting her in about three weeks, I figured for short term the fish would be okay in the smaller tank. Better at least then the fish bowl they were given to me in. I set up the fish tank, treated the water and turned everything on to let it run for a day or so before putting the fish in. By the next day there were two fish dead in the fish bowl. Got rid of them and decided that 36 hours would have to be enough for the fish tank to run, I had to get the fish out of the small fish bowls. I put the fish in the tank. With in a day, two more died. I attributed it to the trauma of moving them. But they kept dying, some times a day or so would go by and then another one would die. Until there were only two left. The two biggest ones. The largest of the two died on Thursday, this morning I found the last one dead. He seemed fine this weekend, fine last night.Dead this morning. What happened to all the fish? Why did they die? I used some rocks that are large that I had found but cleaned first before they were put in the tank. No soap was used. I have used those sort of rocks before with no problems. In fact at least one of the rocks was the same one I had used before in our other fish tank. Could the filter have been to strong for them and wore them out? It was the filter that came with the tank. Could it be something I haven't even thought of which is why I am asking on here. Please if you have any ideas I would be very happy to hear them. I want to get some more fish but not until I have figured out what killed these so it won't happen again.
Thank you for anything you can offer in helping me figure out this mystery.

    • ANSWER:
I would have to point to the ammonia and lack of o2 in the tank added on my the stress of transit that more then likely did them in. For that many goldfish in such a small area the damage may have already been done previously by the person that gave them to you.

  33. QUESTION:
    Another great depression?
    http://www.businessinsider.com/how-war-debts-high-tariffs-and-competitive-devaluation-led-to-war-2010-10

Are we headed for another great depression? The super wealthy are buying scores of gold, so I'm guessing they're bunkering down for the apocalypse. I think that might be over zealous, but what do I know? My only educated guess is it's really not looking so good, and according to some business websites, say that we have yet to reach rock bottom, and that it's not an if, it's a when.

As far as I know, the U.S. doesn't really have a plan to tackle its deficit, and about a dozen states that might default? What does everyone else think?

I looked up What did America do to get out of the great depression that was asked three years ago, and was surprised to find that the best answer chosen was:

A massive redistribution of wealth. The effect of the depression was the middle and lower classes ran out of money, because the upper class had accumulated so much so fast, the cash stopped flowing. The super-rich of their day couldn't or wouldn't spend it fast enough.

Think of a log jam on a river.

By raising taxes on the rich, borrowing a great deal, and using the cash to build public works and later on to build up the war effort, cash was put back into the hands of the lower and middle classes who turned around and spent it.

Cash has to flow like a circle, or a tide. If it stops, when one small group controls a lot of it and doesn't let it flow back to the lower and middle classes, you get a depression.

So I'd go with redistribution of wealth, investing in infrastructure and war spending."

So, if that answer is correct, are we on the right track??

    • ANSWER:
To avoid a depression, unseen since 1929, plays more now into "luck".
The reason ? Taxes MUST be created and increased, by the end of this year. The Fed Reserve MUST establish an interest rate. Benefits of some existing Programs will either be reduced or as with Medicaid and Social Security, taxed.
This country cannot afford to pay out billions a month, when we receive only millions a month in revenue. It's impossible.
The "cash" you refer to, is "paper" only and does not have the gold/silver to back it up.
Answer: Were on the very wrong track as we will all soon understand.

  34. QUESTION:
    Are my friends GOLD DIGGERS?
I've been dating my bf for 3mos. we don't live together he never stays the night or asks for anything to eat or drink, he eats before he comes over and if he wants anything he ask if I want it too and goes to buy it. But here's where the question comes in three of friends think that he should pay my bills or give me cash when he gets paid. I don't feel that way at all and I would never ask him for money or to pay my bills that's tacky in my book. Everytime we go out he pays and always drives doesn't ask for gas money and picks me up, he gives me a discount when I bring my car into his job and if I come for lunch he buys as well. I think he's great and a perfect gentlemen what more can you ask for? What do think are my friends gold diggers and users?

    • ANSWER:
Your friends are fools. They grew up thinking that someone else should take care of them and that's what they expect. You have more than they ever will. Self respect. Independence. Honest intentions. Respect for your bf. And a sense of right and wrong. Don't let your "friends" drag you down to where they are. Stand on your solid ground and be the better person that you have obviously worked hard to establish. I admire your character. It's rare. Your bf is a fortunate man indeed.

  35. QUESTION:
If greed and fear are the main factors in spot gold pricing, would blog listing greed/fear factors be saleable?
This would be a daily blog, on a subscription basis, listing greed and fear factors operational at the time of publication. It would retail for around per month. It would arrive by e-mail to subscribers, or on their kindle machines.

It would contain only non-insider information. No information from inside any gold mining firm. No information from insider any bank.

Everything would be public data, but on a global basis, so when you get your e-mail, you get a greed book with every factor listed in order of importance, and you get a fear book with every factor listed in order of importance.

You are supposed to combine this information and analysis with your own insight and knowledge and develop a competitive trading edge that is personal and that gives you a fair advantage in the spot gold market, as a bullion trader, or as an ETF trader, or as a futures trader (calls and puts).

Would people pay per month for this? How about if it included bulletins in real time for major greed factor or fear factor events?

How much would the competitive advantage be worth to the average bullion trader, handling say a moderate portfolio of assets.

How about if the first 100 subscriptions were sold at a discount premised on the idea of giving honest endorsements that could be used in advertising (affidavits, but where the ads would just give the first name of the customer -- like Bill from New York, or Sally in Paris). Let them buy 6 months for half price -- see how the endorsements come in --- if they are good, pick out the best ones and use them for marketing.

In the second year, if the business is still up and running, new customers pay ,200 per year. Old customers get a one year extension on their original price (0/year). In the third year, same thing, price doubles for new customers, all old customers pay last year's price. So new customers in the third year pay ,400 for the year, and all the old customers pay ,200 for the year.

This is a pure service. There is no product. There is no anti-trust law that applies. Whatever pricing power exists is there because the service works well and people make money using it. The pricing power should be exercised strongly until it starts to result in a sub-optimal number of customers. The free cash flow should be used to hire more global research personnel to monitor greed factors and fear factors in real time, especially when the spot gold market is closed. So the morning report has huge competitive advantage impact on those who receive it and read it. They have to see the money they are making --- show them the money!! That's the world we live in today. OK good -- my question is how powerful is this business model?

If the person starting the business was an MBA/JD with 30 years experience trading gold, and the service was really very good, is there a better way to get the business up and running? Does anybody have a suggestion for a publisher besides Kindle, Google, Sony, Yahoo, and Microsoft?
The report of greed factors and fear factors is publicly available information to all persons who want to stay up all night and analyse what is happening in the world. The factors are also put in order of importance. That requires analysis. Analysis can be done skillfully or unskillfully. Let's assume that unskillfully done analysis is worth less than zero but that very skillfully done analysis is worth at least ,000 per day to a gold bullion trader. Let's also assume that there are at least 1000 businesses that make a lot of money by providing data and interpretational guidance to clients in real time -- so my idea is not completely new.

Not everybody knows everything at all times with correct weighting of its relative significance.

Why would an MBA/JD ask about a business model that contained no value proposition for the customer?

Just so a moron could offer an inane comment? I think not.

My questions does not go out to the morons, it goes out to the geniuses.

    • ANSWER:
First of all, I can't believe I actually read all that. Your idea has a lot of merit in it. The big, gigantic, gargantuan, titan-sized problem of course is your effective analysis of all the factors involved in greed and fear. I believe that such information would need to be real-time for short-term traders and on a weekly basis for long-term traders. Again, the biggest problem is that pretty much every news item would affect fear and greed, and the affect is different on everybody. An effective method of analysis is not easy to come by.

Another thing you need to solve is trust. You have an MBA/JD and over 30 years of experience trading, but so what? In an industry where everybody puts forth their all and only the geniuses shine, those credentials of yours form a foundation but you can't build your house on them. You need to be able to convince the largest trading companies like Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, and others to use your service. Because what you are doing has never been done in a truly effective way, you will see skeptics everywhere. It will be hard to sell.

Which leads us to price. Starting off, you should mention to your prospective clients that you are offering a limited introductory price. Don't give them the idea that your service is cheap. They need to know it is cheap only for now, and they should take advantage of that. Once you have credibility, I imagine that a reasonably effective real-time analysis would be worth upwards of ,000 a month. A very effective one could be worth upwards of 0,000 a year. Remember that greed and fear are the main driving sources of prices. The better your method of analysis and ability to explain said method, the more you can charge.

      This is an enormous undertaking.

  38. QUESTION:
think i found a gold digger. am i right?
met this girl about a month and a half ago. We hit it off right away, and since then have been spending most of our free time together. But something happened over the holidays to make me question if she is the person i thought. On her birthday (dec 20th) i bought her a chain from tiffanys, and sent her roses. Had to call to find out if she got the roses at the end of the day because she never called to thank me, which she did. Xmas i bought her matching jewelry from tiffanys to her chain. At which point she said she didn't like silver. Told her it was ok and gave her the receipt to exchange. When i asked if she did, she said she couldn't find anything in the whole store (tiffanys mind you) and just kept the cash and would decide what to do with it later. First off i just find that tacky. And to just keep the cash, and not call as soon as she got the flowers from me. just get the feeling she is only worried about her. One other thing. She was married for ten years. And somehow we got on the topic of arguing. During which she said she had never apologized to her husband in ten years because she never did anything to warrant an apology. Come on. I just find that impossible. Have i found a gold digger that thinks she is better than everyone else?

  39. QUESTION:
How would you steal all the precious metals of a nation .....?
Fiat currency based on a now antiquated formula to determine worth -- tracked by the population in inflation measures

Hyper inflate pieces of paper by creating a world currency -- with a military back up and economic pressures to ensure international trade is carried out in that currency increasing demand into the untold amounts

Assign debt for the loan of the fiat currency -- in order to justify increased circulation which is a cycle that always sees the numbers go up Borrowing debt in exchange for circulation markers electronically or the old fashioned brief case of 52 million like the VP of Afghanistan had

    Collapse the currency completely

Force the minions to trade all the gold and silver back to them for things they own Like food and water or heat or or or

Sooner or later the top of the pyramid which is managing our bits of paper and look like they might lose the fight to the mighty photo copy and printing press electronic screen alliance Will be the ones who own the sh---t you will trade your gold and silver to have food and shelter and and

Your going to beg to give them your gold and silver

And when that runs out --- and they have it all -- in their physical possesion

They will introduce electronic money -- everyone gets a new bank card and at all on computer screen ..... without physical markers your privacy is gone and you can only buy what they authorize you for -- and if you have no more gold or silver to buy stuff with then it is the chip or nothing Can't eat if you can't buy the food they own

Now if they stuck it in your neck it would be an anti crime measure .... wouldn't want people stealing your card and belioeve me it is going to be hard to get that electronic typed out on a screen money back --- due to suspected cases of fraud by greedy people

Now that is how I would do it if I was going to plan out a long range plan of how to steal every ounce of silver and gold right out of the hands of the begging masses wanting to hand it over to me

And there would be no need to worry about rebellion later -- if we just ID'd all of them A Universal price code sort of idea on the back of the neck or a GPS large yellow cattle tag .... you know a credible safe way to deliver your electronic cash so you can eat and have a few beers

About 5 months ago. It appraises at ,000 its white gold. And already the bottom of the ring is turning a yellowish gold, and there is a crack in the decorative band part by the diamond. We traded a ring in for ,500 and paid the rest in cash. We paid for a warranty. I don't want a ring that is already going to crap... can i trade it in or sell it back to them? I'm wondering if it would even be worth it.. and what should i say to them?
I just looked at the records and it was actually 4mos ago. Also, there are lots of diamonds, 3 big ones and small ones on the side. Could i just take the big one in the middle and see if kays would "buy" back the rest? since the band is crap...

    • ANSWER:
For your mom -add a nice matching pen for her journal. For your dad, basic tools like screwdrivers or pliers. My dad was happy with another shirt or a pair of pajamas- just look in a shirt for the size. Pick shirts that he wears often.

Take your mother to help pick your dad's, and your dad to pick out your mom's.

Remember, parents appreciate the effort their children do.

  44. QUESTION:
Why are some guys so FULL of $HIT?
I went out with this guy the other night. We actually had good chemistry. A couple things though. He says he was a pro baseball player for three years, but I can't find his name on any old rosters. Also, he claims he bought a lamborghini in cash back hen, but he now drives a scion and his phone was cheaper than mine. He says he owns his own construction company now. He met me in front of his highrise building but now I am even questioning as to whether he actually lives there. Anyone have any thoughts here? This is the second guy I've met that "used to make tons of money and then has tons of excuses as to why there is no concrete evidence of it. Theres nothing wrong with a scion, but from a lambo to a scion in 3 years is a big jump down. The last guy I dated was "looking for a house to buy" and living on his friends couch because he didn't want to rent anymore, and he didn't have his own car only his work issued truck, becasue he totaled his expensive truck. I know not all guys are like this, but why can't they just be themselves? I'm not much of a gold digger.

Lol...correction, this is the third, there was one guy who worked as a manager for VW and claimed he played in the ?NFL, he drove a company issued VW and took me to look at some townhouses he was thinking of buying but I could tell he wasn't really serious.

I can't see my boyfriend because the court issued a protective order we can't have no contact at all. The Sister had someone served me a termination of tenancy which she sign for my boyfriend. He did not sign it she always fraud/sign his signatures all the time. I am not a month to month tenant. Heres the funny thing about it I'm not a tenant I'm his Girlfriend/Domestic Partner we've been dating since 02/08 he ask me to move in with him I thought about it for a while then in 01/24/2009 I finally moved in. His house is fully paid for and he pays all the bills. I was self employed by Avon what ever money I make after I pay Avon I put towards food, Gasoline for the cars, Motorcycle and household items. I can't afford an attorney because I have no money I do not understand the laws here. I a legal resident here I was born in Jamaica. I do not know what to do my mom lives in germany she has a Acute Ischemic Stroke (Left Hemisphere of the Brain) she's Paralyze on her right side. I have to go to Germany on 06/24/2009 for one month to take care of her. When I told my boyfriend sister about my mothers condition she said so what I don't care I can find somewhere else to stay temporarily. She's been harassing me, taking mail that are address to me, calling me names, Treating me to call the police to have me arrested for trespassing, throwing things away that belongs to me. She cut the phone off she cut the cable off and took the comcast receiver, DVD player and all the remotes from the house. My boyfriend he loves his family they have been controlling his life for years. Every Women he had in the past left him even his Wife because they couldn't handle his sister and her family. The sister has threaten him to put him in jail or lock him up in a Skyward/Retirement home. She's like a mother and a sister to him she took care of him since he was 14yrs old. She controls basically everything half of his house is in her name. She does really give him any money only when he needs a good attorney or something else which he has to show prove of what he bought. He work as a horse shoer for 30yrs and he gave her all the money he made. My boyfriend gets 00.00 every month from Social Security which he has to pay 0.00 or more on bills and whatever he has left he has live from it until the next check comes from the government. Sometimes he has no food he has to go to the food bank or go dumpster diving for food. He is 65yrs old and I am 28yrs old. Everyone thinks I'm a gold digger I just want him for his money but that's not TRUE. God who is our creator did not put us on this earth to Judge or who to fall in love with. I Know alot of people are Judging me but it's okay. My boyfriend he's very sexy for his age and very good looking he has a sweet and kind loving heart, he's very funny, loves to ride his motorcycle and he still rides his Bicycle for more than 20 miles almost everyday. We play basket ball together with my son and my sons friends, take them bowling, fishing, ice-skating and we go lay in the park sometimes or even go for a walk sometimes. We play alot of board games together sometimes with my son and friends and sometimes it's just both of us doing things together. I was married before my ex-husband made me feel like i'm nothing. I was a housewife/Homemaker for 7 and half years, when I got divorce I really was still with my husband at the didn't even know I was getting divorce. I got divorce without getting nothing not even my furniture that I bought with my cash when we where married. My ex-husband attorney enter a default of judgement because I didn't reply to the Dissolution of marriage. I still could of gone to court to get spousal support, child support and Alimony but my ex-husband said I didn't get up and go to work and I didn't deserve to get nothing. I have no one here but my son I, I really do not know what to do. I love my boyfriend very very very much that I would take his sister and his family mental abuse and harassment, she has been doing this to every women and wife he had it doesn't matter how old they are or what nationality or what her brother wants/needs it's just about what her and her family wants my boyfriend to do. They don't care about nothing that he wants, his sister writes for him, talk for him, check and see who he's calling and who i'm calling and then she calls up everyone on the phone bill. She goes online in his bank account and check on every single dime he withdraws from the 00.00 he gets every month from the Government and then calls him up yelling and asking him what did he withdraw money for and she needs to see the receipts. It's not right what she's doing to him at all she's been doing this for years all of my boyfriends friends who has known him from they where kids said that she's been

    • ANSWER:
Well, it sounds like he needs to grow a pair and start living his own life. His sister's being manipulative and he needs to put a stop to this. Unfortunately, you can't tell him that b/c that would make you look even more like a gold digger to his family as well as all involved. But I would just get ready to move, I know you don't want to leave (and h told you that you could stay) but if he won't stand up to his sister then she WILL have her way once again. I just hope or your sake that he comes to his senses and stops her from controlling his life.

  46. QUESTION:
I hit the lottery and won a lot of money. My ex-girlfriend cut me off years ago. Now she's calling me. Why?
Hi everybody. I hit the lottery and won a lot of money. My ex-girlfriend cut me off years ago. Now she's calling me. Why? After her and I broke up, we went our separate ways. She hurt me. She changed her number on me, blocked me online, and sent back return to sender mail. At the time, I just wanted to stay friends. She didn't want to stay friends and I accepted it as well as respected her decision. Then I simply moved on with my life without her in it at all. It caused me a lot of pain for a while. Anyway, she called me up not too long ago telling me she's so sorry about what happened all those years ago and asked me for forgiveness as well as to be friends. She left me for another guy almost immediatey after the break-up and her cutting me off like that hurt so much. She abandoned me. I'm about to buy a house in cash and I have a new car now. Life is just better for me now. I get the feeling that she wants to get back together but I don't want her in my life at all. Without giving a specified amount, I can say that the amount of money I won has enabled me to not even have to work for the rest of my life as long as I invest it and live off of it wisely. I've even already help out my parents and some relatives and friends of mine with my newfound financial blessing from God. Anyway, I think she's a gold digger and she just wants my money. What do you think of all this? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

  47. QUESTION:
My mother-in-law bought a new car with her boyfriend after dating for 2 weeks?
My mother-in-law has gone off the deep end. She is 50 and her boyfriend is 57. They just met 3 weeks ago. He has never been married, and has admitted all his past girlfriends used him for money. He is her 1st boyfriend in 8 years.

Tell me what you think about this:

She wanted to buy a ,000 car in cash from her 0,000 savings, but her boyfriend wanted to buy half of the car so it could be their car together. So he gave her ,000 to buy a car that she will keep at her house. She said if they broke up she would buy him out. They bought it after knowing each other TWO WEEKS.

My husband and I are shocked because she told me, after being engaged to her son for 3 years, that I shouldn’t buy a car with him unless I was married. She said it was gold-digging. We are keeping our mouths shut, but are unsure why she would take his money when she has her own. Bad judgement on her part?

    What do you think?

    • ANSWER:
Tricky, I think its bad judgement especially because of what she told you about gold digging, but at the same time she's living. Shes a grown 50 year old woman with lots of experience in life and I'm sure she's more than aware of the consequences of the decision she made. I wouldnt be concerned, but like you said, shocked and taken back.Maybe he's the type of guy who doesnt take no for an answer and she felt forced into taking the money...who knows

Do you SERIOUSLY have to even ask us the question? From everything you've written, YES he's a gold digger. And it also seems like you make HORRIBLE choices in men! I suggest you be a little tighter with the purse strings and not flaunt or let them know about how you're loaded with money because the moment you do, the temptation is there. A GOOD guy wouldn't care if you were loaded and wouldn't want to take advantage of you. Yes money is convenient but a guy who genuinely cares wouldn't give up his normalcy and all of a sudden start acting like a deadbeat. Please be realistic: he does NOT love you - he LOVES your MONEY!!!!

Dump him before you even get married or before wherever you live deems him your common law spouse. Get someone who has money or someone who respects the fact it's YOUR money and has some self esteem to be willing to pay for his portion and not want to live off your money like some type of loser. DUMP HIM before he runs away with your money like your last boyfriend!

  49. QUESTION:
Cousin is a GOLD DIGGING B*TCH!!!?
My younger cousin is 18 (we've been like sisters though..very close) and just had her first child..she is always venting and complaining that her childs father is a dead beat.
Now this deadbeat (as she claims) is over at her house everyday givin things to the baby...he even bought my cousin winter coats (nice ones), TWO REAL Gucci bags, and a Prada diaper bag.
She yelled at him for not just giving her the cash.

I want to be on my cousins side, BUT THIS MAKES ME SO ANGRY!!

I have a child also..I was married for a year and after I had my child..two months later my ex-husband beat me into the hospital, and then ran off with another woman and has NOT givin 1 penny of support to his child..I don't even know where he is now.

Her childs father?! Buys her REAL name brand designer clothes and bags for her and their child..(even though they are no longer together) and she has the NERVE to scream "I WANTED THE MONEY!" and call him a dead beat?!

This ANGERS me!! Is it wrong that I am taking his side over hers? Should I be there for her no matter how wrong I think she's acting? Advice on what to say to her?

  50. QUESTION:
When will my fiance actually get me a ring?
Just a little insight for you first ... My fiance asked me to marry him xmas night so eight months ago now. He was pretty drunk but the next day said he had meant it fully and does want to marry me promising also to take me ring shopping. Now, I don't want anything flashy or expensive just plain and simple even though money isn't really a big issue with us both earning good wages. We did go ring shopping - I bought him a £500 18k white gold quarter carat diamond ring which he loves dearly and wears every day but eight months on he still point blank refuses to get me a ring even though I've seen some I like ten times cheaper than his at £50 I've even offered as I mentioned to buy it myself which he won't let me do - he just asks why I'm so bothered about it and tells me he doesn't want to hear about it again. It's causing a few problems because I know it's not a money issue as he really does splash the cash on other things for himself and trips with his friends. It's also really embarrassing for me when people ask to see the ring and I awkwardly explain that he wears one - I don't but even when this happens when he's with me it doesn't faze him at all - if someone asks to see my ring he just smiles and shows his. So I'd really love some advice on how to tackle the problem head on for once and would also be great if anyone could tell me why they think he's behaving like this.
No, we're not living together at the moment, we're looking for a new place together though as I'm pregnant but come to think of it I'm the one buying everything for the baby too - so far he's not bought anything for the baby either although as I said it's definately not a money issue as we're both working full-time and do get more than decent salaries.
no jaded, i pushed nothing on him at all his ideas he asked me not the other way and we both want this child especially since we lost one already. BOTH of us not just me so no its not all one sided either

    • ANSWER:
Well let him know that the ring is a symbol of your love. Its circular because the love that you have for each other is never ending. He's eventually going to have to give you a ring if you do get married, so you will get one.

I say talk to him about it one more time. If he still refuses or gets abrasive than you go out and pick it out for yourself. If he wants he can pay you back.

I now you don't want to go to that extreme but if that's what it takes then go for it. Good Luck!
