With the price of gold reaching near record highs, individuals are looking for the best rated gold buyer to sell their items. The best rated gold buyer will have a great reputation, as well as excellent customer service.
Best Rated Gold Buyer
A great resource that individuals can use is the Better Business Bureau (BBB) website. This website can help you search for the best rated gold buyer to sell your items to. You will be able to see if they are if they have unresolved complaints that were filed against them. This reflects on their integrity and honesty.
When you find a business that has been accredited by the BBB, it means that they have undergone a thorough review and have been found to operate a legitimate business that meets strict standards and guidelines. These companies have to pay an annual fee to be continually monitored in order to make sure they are still in compliance with these standards and guidelines.
After you have gathered all of the gold that you want to sell, you will want to separate your gold items into different groups. Gold is priced according to its weight and the karats. When gold jewelry is made, a stamp is placed on the item to indicate the quality of the gold such as 10k, 14k, 18k, and 24k. The purest form of gold is marked as 24k and will bring in the highest price.
Online Gold Buyers
You have the option of selling your gold to an online gold buyer, pawn shop or jewelry store. Although a physical store may be located near you, these types of places tend to offer the lowest amount of money and take a lot of your time to drive around to.
With an online gold buyer, you simply mail in your gold, get a quote and then get your money. Online buyers will offer you the fastest turnaround time on the gold buying process from start to finish and also give you the best price.
Having the right information will make your selling experience a positive one. By finding the best rated gold buyer, you will certainly get the highest price for your gold items and the best service.

QUESTION:
Where can you sell gold without a fee?
So thinking of investing in gold, the type that I buy and get it directly so that I have no storage fees. So in say 10 years when I unbury this in my backyard where can I sell it? I know all those Cash4Gold rubbish places are not giving you what gold is actually worth. So please site some sources as I've looked a bit on the net and can't seem to find anything concrete. Thanks-
ANSWER:
There is not a fee to sell gold or silver back to market. There is only a fee to buy it. You are misunderstanding the spot price of gold and how it works. Unlike stocks, gold and silver have a spot price. The spot price in any given time is the difference between the BID (Selling back to market) price and the ASK (Buying from the market price). So if the Bid price is 00.00 and the Ask price is 02.00 then the spot price is 01.00. The spot price ONLY refers to PAPER gold not PHYSICAL gold and silver. Now in addition to the spot price the PHYSICAL metals market has a premium on the physical metal. These premiums vary as to exactly the type of product being bought. Coins always carry a higher premium then bars. Then you have premium differences for bullion coins and numismatic coins. It is vital to learn and know the differences betewwn these types of coins. As to where to sell back to market you can start with KITCO. Here is the link to figure out what each type of product they deal will will pay you if you sell to them. https://online.kitco.com/selltokitco/selltokitco_USD.html
Other metals sites usually do not provide real time selling back to market pricing. However Monex has real time buying from market prices http://www.monex.com/liveprices so does American Gold Exchange http://www.amergold.com/Now you have to learn exactly what products to buy and why to buy them. You need to lean which to avoid and why. Rule of thumb.....If you are in the US then only buy US Gold coins. Avoid coins encased in plastic numismatic graded holders. They are too expensive and are not woth the extra money in most cases. Aviod gold from other countries except fractional gold bullion Maple Leafs from Canada. For Silver avoid pre 1964 silver coins in large amounts. I personally only buy Silver Maple Leaf Bullion coins and Silver American Eagles.

Also you need to understand that gold is not an investment. Gold is and acts more like an insurance policy. You are insuring that something in your portfolio can never go to [FAQ-ANSWER].00. All paper assets have the ability to go to [FAQ-ANSWER].00. This is what you are insuring against. The only other asset to not go to zero is real estate. But real estate is illiquid. Because of the debt time bomb you better own gold. The best way to own gold is to buy and take physical delivery of the gold itself. Silver is also in the gold realm as well, so when talking about gold, silver is included.
It is always a good idea to own some gold and silver at all price levels. To truly understand gold and silver, and why you should own it you have to understand the economy and get the movie of life on the largest screen possible.
Gold is money and a store of value. It is the "Currency of last resort" as Greenspan has stated many times through the years. Gold doesnt pay interest, dividends, doesnt restate earnings, has no lawyers, accountants, CEOs or CFOs lying to you on television. Gold doesnt ask for bailouts, doesnt go Bankrupt and cannot cook its books. Gold cant be debased or printed at the will of a company or governmetnt and holds its purchasing power.
Gold sits there as a store of value, is labor intensive, and a one ounce coin will not split into a bunch of half ounce coins at the direction of the pin stripped bandits on Wall Street. Also Gold is the ONLY asset class in the last ten years to increase in value and retain every dollar of its purchasing power.
Do not look at gold in terms of price. Look at prices and money in terms of gold. Paper currency doesnt gain in value, neither does gold. In 1999 when gold was at 0.00 an ounce, a one ounce gold bullion coin bought about 400 gallons of gas. Today with gas prices up and gold at 00.00 an ounce the same one ounce gold coin still buys about the same amount of gas. This is true for food, energy, and other basic items needed for living. The gold didnt gain value at all. It stayed the same. It only takes more paper to buy the same amount of goods and services. If gold were to fall say down to 0 an ounce again then that would mean all prices would fall as well. Do you see gas going back to .00 a gallon anytime soon? Look at gold as a currency and as insurance of buying power and a store of value not as an investment. Therefore dont worry about the price of gold in paper terms. As Alan Greenspan former Chairman of the Federal Reserve said ....
"In the absence of the gold standard, there is no way to protect savings from confiscation through inflation. There is no safe store of value. If there were, the government would have to make its holding illegal, as was done in the case of gold. If everyone decided, for example, to convert all his bank deposits to silver or copper or any other good, and thereafter declined to accept checks as payment for goods, bank deposits would lose their purchasing power and government-created bank credit would be worthless as a claim on goods. The financial policy of the welfare state requires that there be no way for the owners of wealth to protect themselves.
This is the shabby secret of the welfare statists' tirades against gold. Deficit spending is simply a scheme for the confiscation of wealth. Gold stands in the way of this insidious process. It stands as a protector of property rights. If one grasps this, one has no difficulty in understanding the statists' antagonism toward the gold standard."

QUESTION:
Where can I sell my gold in Australia?
I was watching a story on A Current Affair a couple of months ago and it was about being able to sell your old gold. I can't quite remember the company it mentioned where you can sell your gold. Any ideas?-
ANSWER:
Yeah I think the place is in Sydney. The only reason I remembered it is because its just a few meters away form my office. Its on Castlereagh Street entrance to Picadilly Shpping center. there are two entrances, the one im refering to is the southern one. The shop is just before you walk inside the center. It looks more like a place wher you get alterations done but its realer a gold dealer. After the TV exposure I have seen scores of people waiting in line outside the place. I will try and get a name and number for you when I go out for a walk...but today is the RED day in sydney and its hard to breath outside.
Ok I just got back from the shop. The place you are looking for is "Precious Metal Exchange" phone: 02 9267 0007. Shop 15B Picadilly Castlereagh Street Sydney.

QUESTION:
Where to sell my gold?
I want to sell my gold but the nearest pawn shop by me is over an hour away. So I want to sell it online, but I can't find a website that'll just give me cash because I don't have a bank account, credit card, or paypal. So my question is do you know any sites that will send the cash to my house?-
ANSWER:
What exactly do you have?I can give you several sites who will pay you very fair prices by check for gold coins. But if you have gold jewelry, all you'll get is scrap prices unless you have something very special, and either way, I do not recommend selling it by the 'sendaway' method to shady outfits like Cash for Gold. Take it to a few jewelry stores if you have jewelry.

QUESTION:
Where can I sell my gold without getting ripped off?
While grabby commercials offering to buy gold through the mail, businesses now hanging "we buy gold" signs, it makes people cautious as to who is actually offering a fair buy price without getting shafted. Who buys gold at a fair price?-
ANSWER:
Define "fair price".You can look up"Spot" prices at
http://www.kitco.com
Spot prices change constantly so check before you sell.
Of course, spot prices are for 1 troy ounce of 24K gold. There are 31.1 grams in a troy ounce.
If your gold is not 24K multiply it's weight by the K rating amd divide by 24. This reduced weight is the pure gold in your alloy. Divide that weight by 31.1 grams and multiply by the spot price.
The spot price is 41.10US as I write this. The spot value of your gold is a target price.
Nobody is going to pay more than spot price, and they may offer you much less. You may have to sell at a discount, depending on the purity and reliability of your gold. Gold coins are usually labeled as to purity and weight. If the coin is commonly recognized, (krugerrand, eagle, maple, panda) this make the buyer more confident. Bars may have a stamp. A recognized stamp gives the buyer confidence, and unmarked bar may be anything. Gold jewelry is a crap shoot. it may be plated, filled,or mislabeled. Mislabeling is actually rare, because it is a crime almost everywhere to misrepresent the purity of gold.

WHERE CAN I SELL MY UNWANTED GOLD JEWELRY WITHOUT THE MIDDLEGUY?
I have heard of alot of people going around and buying up old jewelry for prices that are less then current market value and taking it to a location that offers a little more for it. I live in the Bay Area and would like to find out where I can take my gold to sell without the middle man.Any suggestions???
-
ANSWER:
There are at least three options that are available to sell your gold jewelry.1. At a pawn shop - Yuck!
2. At a jewelry store - Better
3. Online to a Cash for Gold BuyerI have researched and found more than 200+ online gold buyers and there are three top, honest companies that I send all of my family and friends to. The top three on GoldVox.com have at least an "A" rating with the BBB. That means they resolve every customers concern, and have had minimal to zero complaints.
Check out http://www.goldvox.com and read some of the customer reviews and BBB ratings for several companies. They all buy gold through the mail and the top buyers pay very close to market price. It sounds unsafe to even consider mailing your gold but a lot of people have had great success with the programs.
Good luck and I hope you find a good deal! Gold is paying great these days!

QUESTION:
Where can I sell my runescape account for gold?
Ok I've got a good level runescape account and it only took me 2 days (Not important) Anyway, where could I sell my runescape account for good gold? I only ask for maybe 200K or more. Where could I sell it for gold? ^^-
ANSWER:
Well, if it took you 2 days to get a good lvl, then i doubt that could go for a lot of gold as you say. actually, u cant sell it for gold because you would have soooo many scammers looking for noobs to make money off of. However, i have heard of people who are like 120lvl selling their accounts so that the future owners can do all the quests. That is VERY rare; never known someone who would work for 3 years getting to lvl 120 then selling it. I've heard of them going for about 00 if u can find a person who is willing to pay you that much, which u probably wont, sad to say. sorry. But all i have to say is that u should just keep playing it and have fun. It is fun to make friends and go questing together, train and gain skillcapes, etc. why not just keep playing? But as for selling it for Runescape gp, i see little hope of that.

QUESTION:
I want to sell some gold? where and for how much! please help!?
it's 14k gold and i have about 6 necklace and 5 bracelets.... I want to go to a pawn shop... or any where i can get rid of them quick! My check was way too small this pay period! Is 14k really even worth anything...? how much? where can I go to sell it? any help will be great! thanks evrybdy-
ANSWER:
I would check out a reputable independent jewelry store in your area before I would go to a pawn shop. Sometimes they will buy "scrap" gold to use for jewelry repairs or making jewelry. If you can't find a jewelry store to buy it, see if you can find a jewelry repair shop. They might want it. I think you would get more for it at one of those places. Pawn shops are a last resort, unless you want to put the jewelry in pawn and get it out later.

QUESTION:
If I melt down my gold scraps to gold bars who can I sell the bars to? Is there some sort of Gold Bank?
I don't want to sell my gold to those gold for cash places/websites because I will only get a fraction of the gold's market value. If I melt down my own gold scrap to gold bars where can I sell the gold bars for Gold's true market value?Where or whom do modern day gold prospectors sell their gold to?
Thanks.
-
ANSWER:
Anybody who wants to buy your gold bars will have to assay them, heaven only knows what is mixed in with the gold. "White" gold is only 75% gold, for example, the rest is silver and copper. Best would be to find a cash place that will work with you and not charge you assay fees with every batch.

QUESTION:
Where can I sell gold coins?
I found a 1/2 ounce American Eagle gold coin in my room and found out that it's worth about 600 dollars so I was like damn i wnna sell tht know what i'm sayin?-
ANSWER:
You can find the "spot" price of gold at a website like www.kitco.com. Then, call a nearby coin shop, and ask them what they'll pay for a 1/2 ounce American Gold Eagle. Since they're considered "bullion" coins, the price should be pretty close to what the spot price would be for a 1/2 ounce.

That is illegal. I think in Runescape you can sell your account legally, though. Besides, why would you sell that? You no doubt spent hundreds of hours on your characters? Another reason why I can't stand mmo players.

QUESTION:
Where can I sell my white gold ring?
I was thinking of selling it on ebay. But it looks like people are very hesitant to buy jewlery on ebay. Are there any other websites that you can recomend? Thank you for your answer!-
ANSWER:
You could go to a jeweler and get it appraised, then list it on ebay with the certificate. I think if you show some authenticity it will raise your chances of selling at the price you desire. You can always go to a pawn shop and get way below its value.
