I have found some trims that have the coins hanging on them from beads. The silver coins are on white trim and the gold are on black. The were in WalMart and Hobby Lobby around Halloween. You can add beads and chains to your homemade scarfs to make them unique.       The Kennedy Half Dollars are likely worth less than US apiece.

      If you mean an 1877 Trade Dollar, a genuine coin could be worth very much though there are numerous counterfeits out there. It might also have a mint mark (plain, Philadelphia; CC, Carson City; S, San Francisco).

      A 1920 Commemorative Maine Centennial Half Dollar had a limited mintage and very few of these were well struck, so you might have another valuable coin.

      I strongly recommend you search for at least two coin dealers for a comparison of opinions, so you might find out exactly what you have. Please check the links below. I hope that helps.

Also look for people who make custom jewelry. They may give a slightly higher price than someone who is going to buy it and sell it for a profit to someone else who is hoping to make a profit. Remember that most coins are not the 99.99% silver ones, and the extra non-silver component is not generally paid for.

      If you can melt them and make silver bullets, maybe there is a market for that... ;)

      Coin dealers will pay 80% to 90% of the value of the metal or 50% - 60% of catalog value, whichever is greater. Banks, at least in the US, don't buy gold. In Mexico, banks buy Mexican gold coins at about 90% of the metal value but don't buy non-Mexican coins.
      Selling them yourself on eBay might be better, but then you have to consider eBay's fees.

      There are virtually no 24k gold coins. They would be too soft and wear out quickly. Most major gold coins are .900 fine or .917 fine (22k). However, when you buy a Krugerrand, Canadian Maple leaf or American Eagle coin, while they are .900 fine, they still have exactly 1 ounce of actual gold contents.

      Is investing in gold good.? I am a gold investor and right now I am selling some of it, because I believe it has reached a bubble about to burst.

    I have a large amount of pre-decimal coins, and I would like to sell them quickly. Where in England would be the best place?

      Pre-decimal coins have almost no value at all - check on the Stanley Gibbons website to see if you have any that are rare or valuable for some reason. The only 20th century UK coins that have any value are the very few Edward VIII coins that were put into circulation before he abdicated. If you have any of these then take them to a specialist dealer.

    Where to Sell Gold Billiards & Coins in London?
    I have a gold billiard (1 ounce, solid gold) and a coin (1/2 ounce, solid gold). I'm launching a business right now so it's probably the best use I will have for the gold and makes the most sense to sell it now to raise extra funds.

    Does anyone know Jewellers or traders or any place in London, that buys Gold billiards and gold coins and pays the market price (the actual Index price that gold is valued at on that day). I know the value changes a few times a day and I know there's companies who buy unwanted jewellery at rip off prices. I want to actually walk in to a building, hand the gold over and be given the real value of the gold... Is there Banks, Gold Dealers, Traders or Jewellers that pay the Market and Trading price, does anybody know where they are in London?

    i have a very old coin probably made of copper or bronze.
    its one side is a carving of a royal elephant and the other side has partially eroded.
